I bought this as medium but it is more like an extra large I'm swimming in it. It will do in an emergency but careful with the size esp. women, make sure to order a small or extra small if available. Otherwise it is a good deal.

This is a good quality, bright yellow safety vest, and the 3M brand reflective strips are high quality. They seem somewhat more reflective than other brands. It is made out of regular-weight polyester fabric like you would find in a polyester shirt. It is not a mesh fabric.

There are two loose pockets on the outer left side and one pocket on the inside right. The pockets don't have any closures.

There is one vertical Velcro strip at the front closure of the vest, so the vest is not adjustable. The sizing specs seem correct for a loose fit in U.S. sizing. I have a 43-inch chest and normally wear large shirts, and the large size fits me O.K. It is loose on me when wearing just a shirt, but it fits over a jacket without being too tight. I tried an extra large also, and it was much too big for me. The extra large would be probably fit someone over six foot who wears XXL or larger shirts.

With the single Velcro closure and somewhat loose fit, this vest probably isn't going to stay closed if you want to use it for riding a motorcycle. It would probably be O.K. for leisurely bicycle riding, but there are better mesh vests designed just for bicycle riding that also have a longer tail in the back.

If you are going to be using a safety vest for work , you may want to buy the different style of vest that also has Velcro closures at the sides and shoulders, so the vest can tear way if it gets caught by machinery.
