The 70-293 exam is a core exam for the MCSE Windows 2003 certification, and tests professionals on their ability to plan and maintain a Windows 2003 network infrastructure. As of January 2003 there were over 200,000 Microsoft Certified Professionals. Not only will the majority of these be looking to upgrade to their 2003 MCSE, but the exam is expected to grow with new users. This Training Guide offers in-depth coverage of exam topics and offers hands-on instruction that helps readers to pass the 70-293 exam. This book can be used as a sole study guide or it can be used with instructor-led classes, Exam Cram 2 books, and/or CBT training.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Dissapointed, February 15, 2007

This review is from: MCSE 70-293 Training Guide: Planning and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure (Paperback)
I've been very happy in general with the QUE products I've used in the past. Que helped me get through my MCAD program and I still use the guide as a reference book. Que helped me earn my MCSA.

This book however is worth little more than a summary text of networks and it's full of errors at that. One of my favorites has to be on page 221/222 where they recycle the diagram for a mesh design and call it a ring topology.

Anyone thinking they will pass 70-293 using this book is in for a rude awakening and a waste of the $125 exam fee.

Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned $ on a better study guide, this one should be used only by those fresh out of the 291 exam who need a refresher summary of material they have already been tested on.
