Candidates for Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) status have often raved about the quality of the sample questions in the
Exam Cram books. The questions are like the ones on the actual tests, and the books come with annotated answer keys (explaining how Microsoft's test designers arrived at the correct answer).
Exam Cram Core Four Practice Tests strips out the Exam Cram tutorial material and leaves only the tests--two each for Windows NT Server 4.0 (exam 70-067), Windows NT Workstation 4.0 (exam 70-073), Windows NT Server in the Enterprise (exam 70-068), and Networking Essentials (70-058).
Questions run the gamut--just as they do on the real exams--from straightforward "What happens if..." proposals to elaborate scenarios with multiple required results, optional results, and suggested solutions. The exams alternate with their keys, which means it's relatively easy to find the solutions for the exam you're working on but impossible to spoil your self-quiz with an accidental glance at the answers! Of course, the answers also appear with the series' trademark explanations. In addition to the printed questions, this book ships with a CD-ROM encoded with an adaptive-format test simulator. --David Wall
