Unlike many of the certification tutorials targeted at the 70-087 IIS 4 exam, this one strays from the outline of the test itself to provide its own order of topics. However, the order makes sense: the text begins with an overview of the certification process and the IIS product and then progresses through increasingly more sophisticated topics. Bulleted lists identify the terms and techniques you'll need to get a handle on in each section. The meat of the book consists mainly of explanatory text and accompanying screen shots or code snippets. At the end of each chapter, a series of questions (accompanied by explanations) tests your knowledge.
This book isn't the only reference you'll need to prepare for the exam; however, the references to further reading and electronic sources will help round out your study efforts. This guide is great for those familiar with IIS who simply need to revisit key areas. --Stephen W. Plain --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Excellent as usual... way to go Coriolis,

This review is from: MCSE IIS 4 Exam Cram 3E (Exam: 70-087) (Paperback)
I took the IIS4 class at a CTEC several months ago, I didn't get a chance to take the test and the info was kind of rusty. After reading IIS4 Exam Cram 3rd Edition, I found it to be extremely informative giving me the brush up needed to get a 910 on the exam today! Thanks Coriolis!

Worst of the 6 Exam Crams I've used so far...,

This review is from: MCSE IIS 4 Exam Cram (Paperback)
I recently completed my MCSE by passing IIS 4.0. Like the previous 5 exams I had taken, I passed it on the first try, after using a CBT computer-based course, Transcender practice exams, and the Exam Cram book for the test. Unlike the previous 5 however, the Exam Cram book for IIS 4.0 failed to deliver. The other Exam Crams I've used (the four core books + TCP/IP) all contained a wealth of information that made me feel fully prepared walking into the exam room. The IIS book is very shallow, glossing over or skipping important topics and providing very little in the way of "meat". The practice questions in the book are simplistic, with no bearing on the real test. Answers given often have incorrect explanations or incorrect answers. Bottom line: A disappointment from this excellent series. At least I passed.

Exam Cram IIS 4,
By A Customer
This review is from: MCSE IIS 4 Exam Cram (Paperback)
This seems like a good book, but when you take the test the book is nothing like the questions asked on the test. It does not cover ODBC error messages like Microsoft. Only way that I found this out was by going out on the internet and reviewed exam on the Web. This book help me in some area but left a lot to be desired when getting ready for the exam.
