4.0 out of 5 stars It proves it's point.
This is not a book to buy just to make your sole study guide, for me this a review book, a very good review book. It is simple, goes to the point and has a lot of quetions to make you think. The best thing is that it explains the answers very detailed and it even gives you where to find more information. Believe me this is very good side book, you buy a big main...

3.0 out of 5 stars Supplement your studying
This was the first and last NT Server 4.0 book I read. I used the New Riders NT Server 4.0 book for studying. I passed this afternnon with flying colors. The EXAM CRAM alone is not for passing the exam. Rather it is designed to 'refresh' you as you study. I read the Exam Cram Fact Sheet in my truck as I was 15 mins early for my exam. That was worth its weight in gold...

4.0 out of 5 stars It proves it's point., May 24, 1999
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram (Paperback)
This is not a book to buy just to make your sole study guide, for me this a review book, a very good review book. It is simple, goes to the point and has a lot of quetions to make you think. The best thing is that it explains the answers very detailed and it even gives you where to find more information. Believe me this is very good side book, you buy a big main book, one that has 800 pages and explains in details what you want to learn (like Sybex or IDG). A few days before the test you take this book and go over the most important aspects of Windows NT Server.

If you though that you were going to pass with just one book, think twice. You need at least two books and some practice to pass. If you don't believe me, let me tell you that so far I have passed 3 Microsoft, 1 Novell and 2 A+ Certification exams on the first try.

Good luck on your test.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book to prepare for the Server Exam, August 19, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram (Paperback)
I often rely on these online reviews to determine if I will purchase a book. For this reason I am putting in my two cents on this book. I think this book is an excellent book for people who know the fundamentals of the product and want a quick review for the exam. In many computer books you get conflicting information about an issue. Sometimes you have to go to several sources to get the right answer. In this respect I was very impressed that the book was extremely concise, accurate and covered all the major topics. I passed the exam with no problem. I would recommend this book to anyone who wanted a quality review/refresher prior to taking the exam. I have used this series prior to all my MCSE exams. I now have two more exams to take for my MCSE. Good luck to the rest of you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exam Cram books are the best study aids!, June 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram (Paperback)
I feel like I'm preaching to the choir a little, since so many people are raving about the Exam Cram books, but I must chime in... I have found the Exam Cram series to be of the highest quality when it comes to cutting through the reams of information out there and really covering what you need to know for the tests in a clear & effective manner. They helped me more than any other resource as I passed Networking Essentials and NT Server 4.0 (first try for both, and good scores too), and I am now studying for TCP/IP with Exam Cram and is has been great as well. You still need real-world experience, but GET EXAM CRAM BOOKS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, May 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram (Paperback)
By Far i think this book is the best one. It only provides the information you need to pass the Exam. Not like other books that get really boring because of to much information you don't really need to pass the exam. If you are serious and want to pass the NT Server 4.0 exam fast in your first try, then this is the book. Great book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Insist on nothing less than the 6th print edition, October 10, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram (Paperback)
Printings 1-5 have far to many mistakes and are best avoided. The 6th print edition is by far the best, it's only missing 3 of the corrections that are listed on the publishers web site. Definitely insist on nothing less than the 6th printing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Notch, February 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram (Paperback)
I have read many books trying to become an MSCE and this one I still keep going back to. It is concise, accurate and well organized. The discussions on security really cleared up the topic for me. The server test was the first I took and this book helped me pass. If you are looking for a great book on Server, get this.
