5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book
I read this book prior to taking my certification exam.I passed my exam the first try.I found it to be most HELPFULL in teaching you what you need to know to pass the exam. Although I would not recommend it as an ALL sufficient study tool for studying for the exam, for me the book accomplished EXACTLY what it was supposed to do. Hence the name exam CRAM. I was pleased...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but some glaring mistakes
Not a bad book, I passed, but there are some glaring editing mistakes you will notice when you get to them- especially in the practice questions portion. Review your mistakes carefully- they may not be your mistakes.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book, April 2, 1999

This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram Adaptive Testing Edition: Exam: 70-067 (Paperback)
I was pleased with the layout of the book and I especially liked the way the book included questions at the end of every chapter to help you see how much of your reading is being retained in the brain {pun intended}. Although I did find a few errors in the book, the majority of them were only typos {e.g.} incorrect letter coorelation in answer key to the actual answers of the questions. These errors are nothing that would keep me from giving this book my highest recommendation. This book did an excellent job of helping me understand why the right answers were right and the wrong answers wrong in the practice test. This book also contains helpfull insight on how to prepare mentally for the exam.Last but not least,if your like me and don't have much time to study except for mabey times like breaktime at work, this book proved much easier to carry around than some of the "phone books" that are on the market. If you are serious about passing your exam, buy this book today and get to reading!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book in terms of it's purpose..., July 15, 1999

The book is designed to help the exam taker to cram in those last facts and prepare for the actual exam. I used Alan Carter's book to learn and get hands-on experience as best as I could with my limited home network setup. This book really sealed it for me and was extremely valuable. I honestly don't think I would have done it without this book. Get the experience if you can because that will be the most valuable learning, but get this book and read it before taking the exam. I passed the first time. All the best!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good book for prepping, March 2, 2000
By
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram Adaptive Testing Edition: Exam: 70-067 (Paperback)
When utilized with other study sources - CBTs, Flashcards, HandsOn, this book is quite good. It was weak in a few areas and I wouldn't use just this source. This is my third "exam cram" book and I'll happily buy more. Oh - check the website for errata.

I passed my NT4 exam today. This is my first exam and took me only two weeks to prepare for it. The books I studied was the exam-prep and this book as well. I just borrowed this exam-cram three days before I took the exam and believe me or not i got 10 to 20 questions out of 30 from this book. I can say it gives you about 70% of the exam (well it is true in my case).

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my purpose..., September 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram Adaptive Testing Edition: Exam: 70-067 (Paperback)
I am not the least bit interested in becoming an NT 4 Server guru, nor am I interested in perfecting my maintanance and troubleshooting skills. What I am interested in is knowing enough about Windows NT to be able to intelligently communicate with the network engineers and system administrators in my organization. By completing the various Microsoft certification programs (MCSD, MCSE+I) I feel more able to effectively lead my I/T organization, and make decisions based on technical input from my engineers as well as usability input from my users. This book is perfectly suited for my purposes. It covers a broad range of toics in a straight-forward manner, but does not go into the nitty-gritty detail that is required for network engineers or systems administrators. I used this book to pass the NT 4 Server exam the first time... my score wasn't spectacular, but it was sufficient for my needs.

Too many errors to trust. Only good thing the publisher puts out corrections.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as they say. "The smartest way to get certified"!, April 23, 1999
This review is from: MCSE NT Server 4 Exam Cram Adaptive Testing Edition: Exam: 70-067 (Paperback)
With the help of Exam Cram, I've done it again.(See my review of A+ Exam cram book) Bought this book as part of the Core-4 set. Read it cover-to-cover in 2 days. Beefed up weak areas with the more in-depth Exam Prep. Did the simulation tests (provided with the Core-4 set and Exam prep books) every day. Passed 70-067 (adaptive) today painlessly, 1st time ,with only 8 days revision! My opinion? If you are serious about passing...forget the rest. This is the best!
