We have a winner!,

This review is from: McSe Exam Notes: Internet Information Server 4 (Mass Market Paperback)
I have used Exam Notes books for Nt Workstation, TCP/IP, and today I just took IIS 4 (70/087) and passed with a score of 818 (727 is the minimum passing score). This book is fantastic and it covers in 280 pages what most books do in 600+ pages of fluff. The advantage is you don't get lost in the influx of information. I read this book from front to back and hi-lited along the way. Then, I spent the $69.00 for the PC AGE test (This is the only test Transcender is lousy with) and it was right on the money too! After I completed the PC AGE test I printed out ALL the answers and looked up the wrong ones in the Exam Notes book. Many of the questions on the PC AGE test appeared on the real 70-087 test, I don't know how they get away with it. In my opinion, you can either spend $600 on the IIS 4 class, $200 on the official MS Curiculum (which sucks), or spend $85 and have the Exam Notes book + the PC AGE test and you WILL PASS! Good Luck! I've been using Exam Cram/Transcender to get through the first five exams for my MCSE (TCPIP was other elective). I felt that they were the best and fastest way to get MCSE'd. When I started looking into materials for IIS, this book was recommended over Exam Cram. I found it very difficult to get through and not very useful during the test or for understanding IIS in a meaningful way. I think I got used to EC's straight forward, direct style and couldn't go back to this checklist, "light" style. I don't know if the EC book was really that bad or if Corlois has improved it so scan it at the nearest bookstore. Otherwise, if it weren't for brain dumps and cramsession, I'd still wouldn't have my MCSE!

This review is from: MCSE Test Success: Internet Information Server 4 (Paperback)
This book covers about 85% of the information you will need to know to pass the exam. If you memorize everyting in this book, you will probably get an 850/1000 max on your test. The test questions at the end of the book are pretty good. They aren't the ones you will see on the test, but they cover the same material. For best results, use an additional source. With good study habits and the right resources, IIS can be conquered in 2 weeks. I did it.
