5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Quick Review Tool
My study method requires me to review from texts such as these. They're short and outlines required knowledge efficiently. It's not designed to learn from just to review concepts about a week or less before the exam. Knowing that, topics are covered lightly since you should already be able to expand on them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Can't say anything bad - I passed - 1st time!!
Before reading this book, I read Microsoft Press's Implementing and Supporting Windows 95.....twice!! But after reading Exam Cram, I seemed to understand things better. If you understand them, it's a lot easier to remember them. I will buy other Exam Cram products.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enough if you have experience with Windows 95, April 14, 1999
By A Customer
I used this book and i passed the exam in three weeks. However it needs some improvement in Networking and System Policies. Some chapters should be removed, because they are no tested anymore. Thaks Ed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book for someone with some experience already., February 1, 1999
By A Customer
This is a good book for preparation, as long as you already know your way around Win95 and computers in general. It tells you what you need to know to pass the exam, but does not go into much detail or explanation. I used this book and the practice tests downloaded from Microsoft and passed the first time. If you are more advanced, you might be able to get away with just the O'Reilly book--it is VERY concise. But Exam Cram is a good middle ground: not as verbose as the Microsoft test prep books but offers a little more elaboration than O'Reilly. A little weak in interoperation/system policy type issues in large networks, but in all other exam areas I felt it provided a thorough prep.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre prep tool for the 70-064 exam, January 14, 1999
By A Customer
The title says it all. This book is for CRAMING ONLY. DO NOT use it as your sole source of information for the exam. It was a very FAST read. The practice test at the end of the book is just a rehash of the questions found at the end of each chapter, it was useless. The is information in here is good for the exam, but not good enough to pass. This book should only be use in conjunction with another book (perhaps Teach yourself Win 95 in 14 days for MCSE). I passed the exam using these two books and the practice test downlaoded from Microsoft.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent as a supplement, April 23, 1998
This review is from: MCSE Windows 95 Exam Cram: The First and Last Book You'll Need to Read Before You Take the New Certification Exam for Windows 95! (Paperback)
I just took the Win95 test, and passed it by the skin of my teeth. If this is the 'gimme' test, look out for the tough ones! I bought a CBT from an often-advertised company, and this book did more to prepare me than the CBT ever could. With a quality 'front end' training course or books, the test should be a snap. This was my first MCSE exam, and with the help of this guide I knew what to expect. There were even a few questions on the exam that were a part of the real exam.

Keep in mind that the book I studied was for 70-63, and it is supposed to expire 4/23/98. DONT buy it unless you can verify that you are still able to take 70-63. If you are taking 70-64, keep in mind that there will be material that is NOT in the book, on the test.

I have a library of Ed Tittel books, and I am sure more of the Exam Cram books will be added to my library in the coming months.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does EXACTLY what it claims to do!, September 18, 1998
By A Customer
I found the book to be an invaluable resource in mystudying, and I believe that it is the reason that I was able to passon the first try. There are 8 to 10 exam-type questions at the end of each chapter, and a full 49-question practice exam at the end. That's over 200 test questions - far more than you find in any downloaded practice test.

Having read the caveat above, I used this book in conjunction with other materials, and as I said, was able to pass.

I highly recommend this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't use this book as your only source preparation, August 17, 1998

This book is good for general Windows 95 information, it in no way prepared me for the 70-064 exam. The book was weak in most areas of windows configuration in large corporate settings. Don't use this as your only preparation!

1.0 out of 5 stars The authors have not taken the 70-64 obviously, August 2, 1998
By A Customer
I had a least 5 questions that were not even mentioned in the book. I then went and found a copy of the book for 70-63 at Borders and I found they were the exact same!!!! Therefore I am upset at the fact that the authors have not taken the new exam obviously. You will get more information for free on the web at the braindump sites.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good book to use in addition to the Win 95 Class., November 4, 1998
By A Customer
I read this book along with taking the class in the same week. I took the test on Friday, the last day of class and PASSED with flying colors! I would recomend that you use this in addition to the class and if you work with 95 every day you should have no problem.
