5.0 out of 5 stars didn't think this game was on ps2
I remember I first played this game on the sega dreamcast back when it was in style and all new and everything, so I figured why not buy it for the PS2?. I was not dissapointed this game is exactly the same as the sega dreamcast version I reccomend any one who loves action role playing games to buy this one and it was pretty cheap too I highly reccomend it.

2.0 out of 5 stars mmm...not so much
I bought this game off the bargain shelf last week and I am pretty disappointed in it. Although the reviews mention the game's humor it was not apparant after the game began and for the few hours I played through it.

I did not think the graphics were good even for a 1st generation PS2 game. The camera is pretty bad and induces motion sickness. Objectives in the game...

This is an excellent game. I originally played the first MDK on a Macintosh computer, and the gameplay was phenomenal. An extremely challenging game, MDK 2: Armageddon places you in even more gorgeous abstract worlds armed with crazy weapons and a mechanical dog. Weird stuff? Yes. Worth playing? You'd better believe it! Go buy this game now. You have no excuse not to play this game, since the price is within everyone's range.

MDK2 is a classic, no doubt about it. The first MDK, which was developed by Shiny (many of whom went on to form Planet Moon Studios, known for their work on Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Armed & Dangerous, and Infected), however the sequel, MDK2, was developed by Bioware. Bioware did a great job keeping the Shiny spirit alive with MDK2, because they were known for injecting some humor into their games, and MDK2 delivers on that front. Other than the humor, however, is the overall story and characters, which are both great and presented well.

On the gameplay side of things, you have a game with so many different components; you have shooting, platforming, puzzles, and on and on. In terms of gameplay, MDK2 is varied and never gets old. For its time, this was a revolutionary game. Even today, this game still packs more into a single level than most games.

So let's see, we have a fantastic story, great characters, good humor, varied gameplay, etc. What are you waiting for? Buy this game!

5.0 out of 5 stars Jinkies!, September 18, 2002
This review is from: MDK2: Armageddon (Video Game)
... Now, with MDK2, I can still say that it's the coolest game ever. Kurt is once again called to save the world 2 minutes after the 1st 1nvasion. Tis time, it's Shwing Shwang who wants to domnate the earth. So, 3 charcters must stop this. Kurt Hectic, the hero from the 1st MDK, Max, a robtic 4-armed dog with a love of guns, and Dr. Fluke Hawkins, just some weird scientist. The graphics are great and very detailed. The parachute is the most reconizble thing from MDK. I'm glad they still have it. Max is the best charceter. He has 200 health and can use 4 guns. ... He's a good normal hero. The doctor..well you gotta use your brainpower in order to suceed with him. Excelent game.

5.0 out of 5 stars just one reely good game, June 24, 2001

If you like video games you'll love this game it has everything! its hilarious. extremly adicting. And its a fun challenge. its break from all those other old hash games. you get to play through the game as three different players each with their own kick butt way of blowing away the badies and story lines. (wich coinside with eachother) this game had me so attached to it that i played it 8 hours straight. its also a long game so you wont have to worry about it ending the day you buy it. this game lasts! i realy recomend this game for people who just love video games!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Addicting Game., April 11, 2001

I bought this game from software etc., which they retailer claimed to be junk. He recommended that I purchase Z.O.E. I was bumbed when he mentioned that to me, but I bought the game anyway. The game ended up to be great, and I'm having lots of fun playing it. The controls are smooth and the graphics are mean! Great overall game.

Objectives in the game are not readily apparant. A lot of the game seems to involve switching to a sniper-scope targeting system. Unfortunately you can not really move and fire at the same time.

I would instead recommend the bargain title Oni which seems to be sort of in the same style but has much better game play and cool style.

I was gonna buy this game..but good thing I rented it first. I'm glad I didn't buy it. Not because it's a bad game..

First of all, you expect 60fps gameplay. But you get 30fps. Second, this game has a cartoony feel to it. Sometimes you will think this game was designed for 5 year olds. The controls are a little confusing too. Then again, I am not a big fan of adventure games. I prefer First person shooters or racing games. Good game overall.
