This comes with both a USB & a sata cable. Worked out well because I have a sata (or is it e-sata... whatever) port on my laptop. My only issue (why I put 3 stars for reliability) is that it occasionally doesn't connect. A restart of my laptop fixes it, but it's a pain to have to restart to get it to connect. Not really a big issue, just a nuance. Otherwise, this thing works flawlessly and for 1/3 the price of what Best Buy charges for a comparable dock. I'd recommend it to anyone that needed something of this sort!

It's very usfull and easy to install. I bought barracuda SATA (1.5 TB) and connect via eSata to my laptop. Works Perfectly.
