Before I start my review, I want to say thank you very much to Mike at Meelectronics for his excellent service and followup.

I have tried this headphone for 3 weeks and I'm loving everything about it. The battery life on it is very good as I can keep listening to music without having to charge it for a day and that's pretty impressive. I had two Bluetooth headphones and they usually last about 3-4 hours so comparing this to the Matrix, that's a big difference. Also, it has a neat function where it would auto turn off itself when it notices I'm not listening to any music or not using it at all.

The ear buds is another thing I'm surprised at because I wouldn't expect them to be that soft. Judging from the picture of the Matrix, I thought it would be slightly hard but it was soft like a marshmallow. However, you would need to take some time to position them well on your ears as you may feel uncomfortable if you were to listen or wear them for a long time. Since your ears may not be entirely inside the area so it would be good idea to properly put them on before using it.

The sound quality is awesome on these headphones and it has good volume of sound coming from it where I do not need to increase the volume that high to listen to it when I walk to my lectures. However, once awhile when I walk with them the sound would stutter for a few seconds so I'm not sure if it's my phone or headphone. The stuttering is not a big issue since it is only a few seconds and not frequent enough. Moreover, It wouldn't stutter if I were to sit down at one spot and listen to it so you may experience this if you were to walk with them.

I have no problems with connecting two phones on this headphone where one phone is for calls whereas the other for music.

Overall, if you're looking for a good Bluetooth headphone with good battery and sound then this is it for you. This headphone is worth every penny and you won't regret it.

First of all, let me start off by stressing the fact that I am an Audiophile. This is someone who is incredibly engorged in sound quality and headphone quality. I own a pair of Senheisser HD555 over the ear studio headphones and a pair of AKG DJ K181 bass reflex headphones. These are high end high quality headphones, and I would settle for nothing less when purchasing another pair (as I did with these BT headphones)

In the beginning, I wanted a new pair of 'phones that was light, and portable that I could wear around all day from class to class on my college campus. I needed these to have incredible sound quality, comfort, and functionality.

Lets start with the comfort aspect of things. These headphones, unlike my other pairs, aren't as springy as I would like them to be. As in the lateral amount of force they apply to your head to stay put and envelop your ears isn't the best. They fit a little loosely on my head and sometimes don't really create that really good feeling acoustic seal that I look for in over the ear headphones. This however is minor and can be dealt with. The earpads of these phones are great in comparison to a lot of brands. The material is soft and comfortable, but creates a good seal around your ears when positioned right. They can be worn for hours on end and not get the slightest bit uncomfortable. 4 out of 5 for this category

Lets move onto sound quality shall we? Now as I said, I am an audiophile, so if the sound quality is amiss, I will be the first one to pipe up about it. The stock sound of these headphones is reaaaaally mid heavy. Since they are powered drivers from the battery, they have good boomy bass and crisp highs, but these get covered by the overwhelmingly shrill mid frequencies.

I'm very peculiar when it comes to my toys and gadgets... I've done my homework looking for a great pair of bluetooth headphones that were affordable for me ($100ish range). With Amazon, I was able to snag these beauties (retail $150 currently) for $99! I've ordered a couple bluetooth headphones within the last month and have promptly sent them back thanks to my Prime membership returns:) I just wasn't happy paying that much for what seemed to be low-end sound quality. I was really looking for an On-Ear set but just couldn't find the sound quality I was looking for. The 40mm drivers on the Matrix headphones are perfect for what I want (sound best when using the eq on my iphone/ipad as I adjust according to what I'm listening to. I see others talk about "not great sound without adjusting eq" but that's because there's such a vast range of frequencies and blends depending on what you're listening to and the source. COMMON SENSE ALERT: Use an eq when you can no matter what headphones you buy especially with so many preset eq settings making it so easy to switch: rock, hip hop, vocal, bass boost, etc. Each is set to allow the best sound for each genre)... soothing and crisp when I listen to Jazz, powerful (but not muddy) bass for hip-hop, great clarity on mids and highs for my R&B/Gospel/Motown moods. I'd never heard of the company but what I've researched, they seem to have the consumer first in their development and service. They also make a great product. Now time will tell as to the durability but first glance, they seem very well made. The only thing to note would be they're listed as Over-ear but the pads are juuuust big enough to fit my overly-large ears. So they may not be as big as you're use to... but I actually like that better.Read more ›
