This statue is worth every penny !! It's a wonderful piece, for some one who wants to add to their collection or just plain loves " The Magical Mermaid" ! Who ever who would write a "BAD " Review about this lovely statue is just not in tune with their "fun" side ! I can't believe this ATROCITY is for sale on an otherwise reputable site like Amazon. Here we see a mermaid proudly displaying a pearl in her upraised hand--completely overlooking the fact that for centuries mermaids have been nothing more than slaves, forced to harvest pearls for their human and shark overlords.

OBVIOUSLY no mermaid would smile while undertaking this task. This statue is the worst kind of propaganda, the kind of thing that makes us feel better about ourselves for vilely mistreating an entire race. What's next--a painting of penguins giggling as they push the giant wheel that turns the earth on its axis when we all know they're forced to do so by the polar bears hired to watch their every move? God.

For shame, Amazon. For shame.
