Yuck.,

We bought this and used it on our first daughter once.
About an hour after I totally regretted using this stuff, because the smell emanating from her head was making me woozy. It's like plastic-melted marshmallows. Yuck. I took her back to the bath, and washed her hair again - with something else. But the smell from the Method shampoo stuck around for three days after, despite daily baths/hair washings. So, I found myself thinking, why would anyone use a smell like this? Isn't there something 'wrong' with a smell that can't be washed away? And this is my biggest gripe of all: Method suggests with the name "Squeaky Green" that you might be doing something good for both the environment and your child by buying and using this product. But if the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Database is any evidence, this is not so. Fragrances notoriously contain bad ingredients, like phthalates. You know, the stuff you're trying to avoid in your toys? Now, you can apply it in a difficult to remove form.... directly to your child's skin! There are a number of other ingredients in this baby shampoo that have known neurotoxic and immunological effects, others have concerns with heavy metal and pesticide contamination, and organ system toxicity. I resent Method's greenwashing with this product, particularly when it is aimed at the most vulnerable of targets: babies. There are an increasing number of baby products out there which are considered to contain safe - or at least safer - ingredients. And if you balk at fragrance-free options, there are products scented with essential oils and extracts, natural ingredients. I've tried a number of them and they are pleasant, but not pervasively stinky. I will never again buy a product for my children without researching the claims made on the packaging.

I LOVE the smell of this! I have used it for the past two years for my two young children and love it! The cap is also a rinse cup and then a great tub toy too!

I love Method Baby Hair and Body Wash. Unfortunately I can't find it any of my local stores and it seems to be discontinued. I prefer it to Johnson's No More Tears and Johnson's Natural. The smell is nice and it makes my daughter's hair soft and manageable and it brings out her curls. Hopefully Method will decide to bring it back.

I use this on both my 4yr old son and 2yr old daughter. This product is free of chemical man-made sulfates therefore it will not suds as the previous reviewer noted. It doesn't need to. It cleans very well. We use a squirt or two of the Method Bubble bath and then pump this into their hands for self cleaning of body parts. You have to love the smell as it is strong and your kids will smell like it for
a few hrs. Exactly like Rice Crispy treats. Less expensive at Target however. I bought it once on sale for $4.69. Enjoy

Allergic reaction,
This review is from: BABY HAIR/BODY WASH (Health and Beauty)
My 2 mos. old baby seemed to hate her bath...she would cry hysterically, turning bright red and screaming her head off. We thought she just didn't like taking baths but it seemed to get worse when I started washing her. We suspected maybe there was something about the soap but weren't sure. We started using another soap and at the same time she started enjoying her bath more. The other day we tried going back to the Method washing liquid and guess what? Screams and cries and yells. I am now sure there's something in that soap. And same thing goes for the lotion...I am very disappointed and sticking to Mustela products now, they're the best and smell fantastic!

Gets worse with age,
My bottle is nearing two years old, see how often I use it over my other baby washes? It turned into a gross goldish color after a while, and I just discovered if the soap is left touching your white bath tub, it leaves a lovely florescent yellow stain. Isn't that great? I personally hate the smell, which is why it was rarely used. It stained my wash cloths, too. Pretty much anything in the natural section of baby care would be better than this.

Cleans well, smells great!,
By The cup lid is very helpful for washing and rinsing. The price listed here is pretty high...I buy it at Target, much cheaper!

LOVE,

I can only use Method baby shampoo/body wash on my son. He is 22 months old and has always had bad reactions to other shampoos/body washes. We love the smell of rice milk and mellow and I love how clean he feels after washing him. Please keep making it!! I just tried Suave on him for about a month and my son broke out with little bumps all over his skin. Now we are back to Method for good and his bumps are going away after just one use. I would recommend this to anyone. It hardly gets sudzy but thats because it is natural and doesnt have the chemicals in it to make it sudz.

Eh,

This shampoo smells incredible... sort of like Rice Crispies Treats! The downside is that it isn't very sudsy and you need to use a lot of it to do a decent shampoo job. I like Burt's Bees baby shampoo much better; even though its more expensive, a little goes a long way.
