If you have already heard KMD and MF Doom albums you definitely know that there is a label of quality associated with them. This EP is a collaboration between MF Doom and MF Grimm who both display mad skills on the mic. MF Doom produces two tracks: 'no snakes alive' and 'impostas' and the result is truly astonishing as the two MCs manage to match the quality of the production with brilliant flows. The four tracks featuring MF Grimm are the bomb; he displays amazing rimes and metaphors and proves us he has no lesson to receive from no one concerning the art of MCing.Overall therefore, this album is very tight and the production and DJing are up to the MCs' skills. The only low point here is an instrumental called 'doomsday remix' produced by Mister Jason. This track is whack and should have never been included there. However, in my opinion, there is so much quality on this EP that every Hip Hop fan should possess a copy of it.

This CD was the first time I heard Grimm or Doom, and I got it because my Brother in Law is a chess player, and he liked the cover. A split EP between Doom and Grimm, ILL. Grimm beats Doom, his tracks on this CD are incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!Get Operation: Doomsday, then get The Fall of Ibliss, then get this!

This is a hardcore hip hop EP by the very talented MF Doom and MF Grimm. If you have heard anything by them before then you know what to expect lyrically. They both are very witty on the mic. I have owned this cd for about 6 years now and it stays getting played on the regular. It is 7 very raw and well produced tracks and 7 more tracks that are the instrumentals. If you can get your hands on this Cd then do so because they have since had beef with each other and who knows if they will ever work together again. A classic gem of a cd in my opinion.

Underground, heavy hip hop that never treads paths others have already worn down. Was lucky enough to find a brand new original pressing of this on vinyl, if you can get a hold of it on any format from anywhere you know you'd better start looking! Grimm flows like water, to steal a lyric, and doom just seems like he's long since lost the last of his proverbial marbles. Crackin' stuff. Grimm's disc is superior, but doom's is so good it only goes to show how good grimm is. No doubt 5/5 for the amazingly hard to come-by Grimm vs. Doom EP.

The first half of the album is laced with some of the dopest lyrics these two diablos can put together. The second half is the instrumental version of the first half, with all the unique spaced out beats and rhythm you come to expect from these Einsteins of hip hop. If you're a fan of Doom, Madlib, EL-P, A Tribe Called Quest, or just want to hear hip hop how it should sound, than single out this album.Army of the Pharaohs: The Unholy Terror

Classic from Doom,

This one is a classic. The song Doomsday remix, is one of the best hip hop songs ever made (somewhere top 6). Just listen to the flow and the production. Pure magic. It's up there with Erik B & Rakin - Eric B for president, BDP, Smith & wessun - sound boy burreil and so on. Allso, check out KMD - 'constipated monkey' (=Doom + brother Subroc & others), which is also one of the best songs ever made. Buy the original 12" though, since the sound on the cd-reissue is not so good.

Doom and Grim is a perfect combo and the beats are nice!! These two should have made more songs instead of making 7 of the 14 songs on this cd instrumentals>
