Product Description

Designed for use in transferring heat away from electrical and electronic devices such as; transistors, power diodes, semi-conductors, ballast's and thermocouple wells. High thermal conductivity, high dielectric constant, high dissipation factor, use with heat sinks or metal chassis, will not dry or harden. Contains zinc oxide and polydimethyl siloxane.

I used this between the ignition control module and heat sink on 1995 Ford pickup. No problems. It looks just like DOW heat sink compound. A white paste thin enough to work with easily. Should work well with transistors; MOSFETs: etc...
Good price for this amount probably last the rest of my life.

I've never used silicone heat transfer until now. I had a Cisco/Linksys PoE switch that needed power supply work. Much of the parts had old silicone heat transfer compound on them. This did the trick and it's high dielectric rating gave me peace of mind spreading it over any parts I wanted.

Another reviewer correctly noted the 60g jar is not multiple sticks of paste, but his review alerted me to the difference.

This compound is probably not the ideal paste for CPU's in a typical PC; this is for industrial use where you'd fasten power transistors to a heat sync, or for automotive use perhaps between an ICM and the heat sync. It's not runny, so it will stick to surfaces and not interfere with assembly of these parts.

The size is probably a good match for most home uses or hobbyists.

Item shown is a jar with multiple syringes. Item received was a 60g jar. Misleading with the wrong photo. That doesn't change the performance of the product so minus 1 star. This compound was in 12th place in a Thermal Paste Compound Test that compared 80 products. See Benchmark Reviews website for the test and results.

Summary, saw maybe a 1 degree Centigrade increase in temperature in CPU, North & South Bridge on different systems over other very expensive brands (price per gram) - measured with IR thermometer; before and after, assuming it doesn't degrade with age - a lifetime supply for your computer (s). Like the low viscosity compared to ceramic grease. For the same quantity of "leading" brands would cost over $150.00, with a very very small difference in performance.

Might want to look at in depth review, out there, search for " 80 way thermal material test"

Cons:statement on tube compound does not separate, assume this means a very long storage life.
