The 5-oz tube is a five-lifetime supply for the price of one. Made in USA. This is the original, well tested industrial formula, stable for years of service. Zinc oxide/silicone pastes like this have been used for decades where hundreds of watts of heat must be moved through a small surface, with no degradation over the years. It is perfect for automotive ignition "final stages" or the motor controller in your factory or railroad. For the relatively simple task of cooling a computer chip, "silver" pastes, which are sold at high prices to dazzled gamers, will not out-perform this formula; save your money. This compound also makes a perfect high-temperature anti-sieze. I started using this formula on screw-on soldering iron tips in 1970, instead of the ineffective paste provided by Unger. 30 years later Optimol started selling zinc-oxide antisieze. Mine didn't come in a spout tube, but I apply it with a stick anyway.

Another reviewer correctly noted the 60g jar is not multiple sticks of paste, but his review alerted me to the difference.

This compound is probably not the ideal paste for CPU's in a typical PC; this is for industrial use where you'd fasten power transistors to a heat sync, or for automotive use perhaps between an ICM and the heat sync. It's not runny, so it will stick to surfaces and not interfere with assembly of these parts.

The size is probably a good match for most home uses or hobbyists.

I used this between the ignition control module and heat sink on 1995 Ford pickup. No problems. It looks just like DOW heat sink compound. A white paste thin enough to work with easily. Should work well with transistors; MOSFETs: etc...
Good price for this amount probably last the rest of my life.

Summary, saw maybe a 1 degree Centigrade increase in temperature in CPU, North & South Bridge on different systems over other very expensive brands (price per gram) - measured with IR thermometer; a lifetime supply for your computer (s). Like the low viscosity compared to ceramic & silver compounds. For the same quantity of "leading" brands would cost over $150.00 for the same quantity, with a meaningless difference in performance.

If one actually looks at the article a comparison of 80 different brands/types of thermal compounds (search for) “80 way Thermal Material Performance Test”, An excellent review BTW; however, I do have to disagree with the rating scale ( grading method) for the following reason. A one (1) degree Centigrade change in performance cover the range in grading from C+ to A+ . This one degree C difference will cause, statistically, less than a 0.00002% change in expected service life; which comes down to if two devices were compared at the same time - the hotter electronic component would fail eleven minutes earlier than one running 1 C cooler after 15 years of continuous use; to me that is meaningless difference. . “leading brands” like Arctic Silver (9 gram tube $1.40/gram) versus MG Chemical (150 gram Tube, $0.10 per gram); the choice is a no brainer. This is based upon the paper (search for) “Modeling Temperature Driven Wearout Rates for Electronic Components”, in case the below link changes, or is deleted.

Size: 60 grams
Item shown is a jar with multiple syringes. Item received was a 60g jar. Misleading with the wrong photo. That doesn't change the performance of the product so minus 1 star. This compound was in 12th place in a Thermal Paste Compound Test that compared 80 products. See Benchmark Reviews website for the test and results.
