5.0 out of 5 stars Everything she needed
I bought this for my wife for Christmas. She is the president of our community association and setting up a PA system for outdoor community events was just not practical. 2.0 out of 5 stars So So mega phone
I had to repurchase this product, because my first one broke, the hinge that they use to attach the battery door to is pathetic, seriously a design flaw. However, with some Epoxy glue and a different type of hinge you can modify the origional product to be something better. In this case you really get what you pay for... Its dirt cheap plastic and it breaks easily. I...

Being herd above the crowd was a big problem as she has a fairly soft voice. This was the perfect solution, especially since the included microphone means that she doesn't have to have the horn up in front of her face and it has plenty of power to be herd above the din.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clear sounding with a few weak spots, July 14, 2008

I use megaphones at a youth camp and have used four or five through the years. This one provides plenty of power and the clarity of voice is better than most of the other bullhorns. Unlike most, it does not have a trigger that must be squeezed to talk, rather it uses a simple on and off switch. Though I initially didn't like that feature, I got used to it and eventually liked it. The external microphone can be helpful, though it would be nice if the bullhorn had a clip to hook the microphone to (like some of the old Radio Shack bullhorns) when not in use. Without the clip, it's necessary to try to find a place in the pocket or somewhere to store the microphone.

On the minus side--
- The battery connection occasionally didn't work and the bullhorn on those occasions appeared to be dead. However, a slap the side of the battery compartment usually got it going again.
- The strap broke off during camp.
- At the end of camp I dropped the bullhorn and haven't gotten it working again. It may not be as tough as other bullhorns I've used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Satisfied, June 26, 2009
This review is from: Pit Bull MG666 30 Watt Power Megaphone With External Microphone (Sports)
This megaphone is a work of art. It is loud, and good quality. The siren is also a nice touch. The only problem i have with it is the batteries make it a little heavy and you need six d-cell batteries for it though so be ready. Other than that five stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Sound for the Money, June 26, 2009

Definantly get what you pay for. Wasn't as loud as I thought it would be, but if you speak louder you can get what you need. I like the separate mic so you don't have to hold the button down to speak. The product seemed made from good quality materials.

I received my megaphone very quickly in time for an all-day event because I didn't want to lose my voice talking loud all day. I works great! The alarm is nice and loud and the speaker attachment is great so you don't have to hold the meaphone the whole time. Nice price, great value!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mega Phone, August 28, 2007
For the money this mega phone is tops. However the cover for the batteries will pop open often. Very flimsy hinge. I took care of this problem by useing scotch tape to hold it shut.
Good instrument for the money.

2.0 out of 5 stars I'M CONFUSED!!!!!, September 27, 2011

This review is from: Pit Bull MG666 30 Watt Power Megaphone With External Microphone (Sports)
i ordered this for my daughters 18th B-Day. 1st it did't come in time as listed on site. At the same time... these things happen. When I did get it and open the box it wasn't the same horn as pictured on the site. the box has the same model number as the site but the horn is clearly diff. The strap connects at a diff point.... on the top not the handle. which in the end might be a plus. It ONLY works w the mic connected.... there is no mic on the end/butt.what happens when the mic goes out......... There is NO buttons on the end for speaking, alarm, music. Only a slide on the handle.... talk/siren. Also the battery compartment is cracked. After opening i thought I'll look at the reviews and see if others have had the same experience. (maybe i should have done that from the start) There are MANY GOOD reviews. but the so so ones and bad ones r pretty strong. over all good or bad the product description and issues r not consistent w the product i was shipped, nor consistent w each other. Some folks complain about the handle collapses w a button, others disappointed that theirs did not collapse (my does not). Some didn't like the trigger on the handle of the horn or that theirs didn't have a trigger (mine does). Also whining about the music being in beep beep beep...but really what do u expect. (mine has NO music button at all but it was in discription and pic.). sadly it turns out that I have batteries but happen to be 2 short so idk what it sounds like. BUT..... it seems the product shipped to folks r not all the same product....???? what? I'll hunt down the 2 batteries just cause. but i plan to send mine back just based on the cracked compartment lid...... many folks complained about the cheap hinge..... prob. y it's cracked. It wasn't latched well. so even if it was in good condition when shipped it didn't manage to hold up during shipping (consider it seemed to be packed well w bubble wrap

1.0 out of 5 stars CANCER CAUSING PLASTIC!!!!, August 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pit Bull MG666 30 Watt Power Megaphone With External Microphone (Sports)
I ordered this for football season... Bought the six D batteries needed for it (not included). It does not work, it came broken! BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Next, I noticed this horrible smell from the product, upon further inspection of the box, there is a clear warning... Contains plastics known to cause cancer, reproductive problems and birth defects......

NICE! Don't order this, it is crap and it is harmful! Would of gave it NO STARS, but amazon made me give it one....
