Usually, Dana is a sweet, sophisticated character in the Bratz pack, as her nickname is "Sugar Shoes". In the Bratz! Funk Out collection, Dana took on the role of "Punk of the pack!" This Dana screams punk and rock chick mixed together! The make up is WILD and so are the clothes. Her lips are a bit too dark, but that does not matter. It looks like Jade lent'Dana some fashion tips for this collection! She isn't the best, but she is sure close to it. The Funk Out collection is very simple, yet very funky, and gorgeous. Buy this doll. Kids and collectors will love her.

I'm 18 years old and adore the Bratz dolls. I already have 'Strut It' Cloe, the Dana styling head and a Lil' Bratz of Jade, and after swearing to myself that I wouldn't buy another Bratz doll, I came across this little gem in the stockroom at work and I just *HAD* to buy her.First off, she has the longest hair I've seen on a Bratz doll -- once untied from the ponytail, it comes down past her knees! I'm so glad that MGA decided to release this 'Funk Out' range -- OK, so a few of the fashions are not to my tastes, but Jade and Dana definitely are. Dana has *armwarmers*, they look so cute on her! I like that each doll in this range comes with three plastic bracelets, I haven't seen much jewellery included with Bratz. Anyway, onto a more in-depth review of this Dana doll. First off, the makeup is lovely -- dark red lipstick and beautifully detailed eyes. As I said, her hair is very very long, but the top section is cut short, up to about chin-length. If you carefully brush out this highlighted hair (it's stuck together with hairspray, by the looks of it), you can make her hair look a bit better and less stiff. The whole hairstyle in itself looks a little strange out of the ponytail, but never mind. Dana comes with two sets of clothes, that as always, can be mixed and matched: * white armwarmers I've rated this doll '1' for educational value. Despite my love for the dolls I do not feel that the Bratz offer any education. Fair enough, they're much better dolls that the Barbies and Sindys I was given when I was younger (the complexions are more realistic -- people aren't really orange unless they've overdone it on the self-tan), and the clothes are up to date, but they don't really teach the age group they are aimed at anything of substance. Bratz are very much fasion-based, as the slogan states. If you want your child to learn from playing with dolls, I would recommend something like a Doctor Barbie. But if you want a very pretty doll with beautiful hair and well made clothing, I'd recommend the Bratz.

I think this dana to tell you the truth,it makes her have an image that she has a wild side so what if she has dark makeup it shows a different side to dana's personality even though i miss the style it type when she had barely any make up she looked gorgeous that way she looks good that way more than the bad girl image she is representing!it needs to stop what happened to the "old dana sweet" not to mention that they haven't come up with a dana since what happened did they kick her out of the group because are too many bratz know! which is making me mad what ever happened to just the 5 or 6 bratz girls know it's like they just forgot about her come on know MGAE!!!!!!!! bring her back this was like her last and latest dana they have! i'm going to stop buying bratz if they don't bring dana back!! come on all dana fans say something about it don't be shy!

I think this is a poor excuse for a bratz. She dosn't even look cool! Her makeup is way to dark, and her hair looks like she just rolled out of bed!!! Her clothes are okay.i like the other styles of Bratz more. Like the Strut It! collection, they look cooler and more realistic, or more like something you or i would wear.

I love the look of suspenders and that, along with the hair style and color scheme was what prompted me to buy Dana. One downside about the hair is that the cut limits styling options. When you take down the ponytail, her style turns into a mullet. I highly recommend taking it down at least once though, to give her hair a gentle wash and remove the crispy gel if it's going to be a play doll. The clothing seems relitively durable to me, though if the owner is prone to losing little pieces then the bracelets and earrings should probably be put away. She's very different from the other Danas, the colors are much bolder and the makeup is more apparent. I disagree that she looks like a Flava doll though. Where their style is meant to be inspired by hip-hop, FO Dana reminds me more of someone who might shop at Hot Topic and enjoy 80's punk rock.

I only recently obtained this wonderful doll, and am already convinced of her all-around awesomness! I really took notice of the individuality of the Funk Out! collection, but couldn't pick a favorite from the online pictures. However, on seeing them in person, Dana was the frontrunner. After her comes the wild, camo-girl Sasha, sultry Jade, colorful, sweet Yasmin, then a last place tie on Cloe, Fianna, and Nevra. I hope to have my favorites, or all of the dolls, eventually. Anyway, on to the details on Dana. Her makeup is darker and bolder this time, featuring cherry red lips, smoky shadow, amd dark eyeliner. Her hair is great. The long ponytail of dark mink brown is so soft and manageable. But I really love the golden-highlighted, sassoon-cut front. I found myself wishing that the whole head of hair was that length. Her first outfit is amazingly cutting-edge punk. The cute, cap sleeve red kitty top is cropped and gathered up at the sides. I love her white suspenders on that dark, pleated denim mini with the studded belt. The white, laced armwarmers are awesome, as are her red and black spike, strappy heels. Her second outfit is also wonderful. The black mesh bunny tank looks great over the heathered red tee. The snow white, belted micro mini is a perfect set off, as are the black, scrunchy boots. Finally, she has some great accessories to pull it all together: three bracelets (black, red, and white), red, cat-eye sunglasses, cute black leather purse with studs and ties, and adorable white flower earrings with red centers. All of these pieces are great for mixing and matching! I highly recommend this doll.

These are cute and have pretty cute clothes, but they are HOOCHIE MAMAS IN TRAINING.I HAD to get that off me chest. My mum agrees with me, and even said so on the radio lol! They have skimpy clothes that barely cover their "areas" and have these huge lips! They're teaching kids it's OK to wear micromini skirts and belly shirts, and the "Punk" ones introduce kids to stereotypes, which are bad.

This is a great Dana. She has the coolest hair, including a style and highlights, plus her clothes are nice! I really like her skirt.I don't know why everyone says "this dana is bad" cause she is a doll, and shouldn't be looked up to. She comes with quite a few accsesories, but they aren't really for people who loose things easy, and sometimes they break, like the earrings are pretty cheap. But, all in all, this doll is quite a nice buy. I think she is a wonderful valaue for ?15 (English). If you like Dana, then buy this doll. * b r a t z f a n * Gemma p.s. She is better in real life, cause the amazon photo's are quite rubbish. |
