This review is from: MGA Bratz Life Game (Toy)
This toy should have an age rating of teenager or OLDER on it. I KNOW that the Bratz are a little trashy looking, and not suitable for younger children but honestly this game is bad. I let my 7yr girl have "some" bratz. (Kidz are not that trashy) While playing this game my daughter learned that in order to "make friends" on the game you need to answer some questions asked by another characters, the way they want you to answer them, not by what you really feel or like. If you don't have much in common (answer the questions your way) they will choose to "not be your friend" and what makes this worse- YOU ARE GRADED ON YOUR POPULARITY!!! They ask you questions like "what kind of boys do you like?" I thought this game had an age of 8+ on it!!! On our daily planner one day, we were told to -"Go to the Mall today and flash your smile (flirt) at a boy (whom we don't know, STRANGER!!!) who has the tickets to Fashion Blitz" This is teaching our young girls to 1) go flirt with a stranger and 2) use people or flirt with a guy to get something they want. WHAT IS WRONGE WITH THIS PICTURE???
Last but not least ALL you do in the game, besides flirting with strangers and desperately trying to get someone to be your friend by saying things that they want to hear, all you do is dress your character and other Bratz characters OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Hey I like shopping and going to the salon as much as anyone, but really how many times can you change shoes and hair? When you run out of money to buy new clothing you do NOT even get a chance to earn more, UNLESS you are innvited to a Fashion show and you win prize money. You will not be invited to shows though UNLESS YOU MAKE FRIENDS AND ARE POPULAR. PARENTS OF YOUNG GIRLS WITH VALUES **** BEWARE******

My daughter had gotten money for Christmas and she decided to save it for something special. Well one day we went to the store and she saw this 30 dollar toy and she decided to buy it. After we got home she was eager to play it and made me watch her but after no more than 5 minutes the screen turned fuzzy then turned pink and the console turned off. She was so dissapointed. Then after a few minutes when she turned it on it wouldn't come on. After a few hours of turning it off and on she came to me and asked if we could return it. She was so happy when she got her money back that she decided to buy a 10 dollar Fashion Angels Designing kit in which you must use your mind to think up fashions and then cut out a pattern, trace it on fabric, cut it out, then put on a 12' cardbord model. You never run out designs for that.(I recommend that toy if your child wants to fashion design). She told me everything that was wrong with it and I was quite angry as well. The graphics are terrible, the sensor bars don't work unless you get right up on the console, there aren't many fashions to choose from, they're telling you to use people to get things you want, they get smart with you, and to make friends you must like what they like or they brush you off. Bottom line is: DON'T BUY THIS TOY UNLESS YOU WANT AN UNHAPPY CHILD!!!

This product was received in good time, however, my daughter never got a chance to experience the fun due to website probles associated with the manufacturer. The demand for the on-line interactive portion of this product was not in existance, so in essence the manufacturer sold a faulty product. They made promises regarding what their product would be and never met the expectations. This product was a waste of my money, time and caused a a little girl sadness on Christmas morn. DO NOT BUY!

This game only worked for 2 days. Now when we plug it in it will only work for a couple of minutes and the picture starts flipping. I tried it on several TV's and determined it is definetly the game.

I purchased this toy for my Bratz loving daughters. We did read the other reviews. However, I took a chance anyway. To our displeasure the game worked for one day only. It was sad to see them upset. I will always take heed to the reviews that Amazon shares.

After only a few hours of playing, the screen went black and game never came back on. We have tried replacing batteries and memory card, and nothing works. Although it was fun while it lasted, it is very cheaply made and not worth any amount of money.

Pros: She loves to play this Bratz game, she can set it up herself, it entertains her for hours on end, she loves to show off her "Magazine Covers," clothes and accessories she put together, and text messages from friends. It's also very compact, she can take it to Grandma and Grandpa's house on the weekends.
Cons: It takes 4 "AA" batteries for the base, another 2 "AAA" for the remote. If she forgets to turn it off, it's a huge waste of batteries. The only way to go are rechargeables. They need to have a plug for it.

The game is just the same thing repeating over and over. The missions include shopping and going to parties or hanging out at the mall, all with the purpose of impressing people and becoming popular. You need to get people to like you in order for them to be your friends, so it doesn't really teach anything good. It's actually kind of disappointing to little girls anytime they don't make friends with someone, I had to keep telling my daughter that it's ok if they don't befriend you. I wouldn't recommend it.

The remote doesn't work half the time, the graphics leave a lot to be desired and there aren't many choices for clothes and such. My daughter, who is a Bratz fanatic, was bored with it after about 10 minutes. Use your money for the B-Bratz or any other toy. This really is a waste of money. OH! I rated the durability as high cause it's getting used as a pull toy by my 1 yr old and it still works.

Like many others; I struggle to make sure my children had a good Christmas. I purchased this product with cash and my daughter actually loved it, and wanted me to rate it a 5. Unfortunately it only worked for exactly five days.
She's pretty disappointed, and wants another. My disappointment is with any company that would sell something for children that mediocre for the price they're charging. Merry Christmas MGA! |
