Hi Kids and Parents! This time we are going to review the new zapf creation baby born doll. The first thing you have to realize about this doll is it is very very very messy. Hi Kids and Parents! This time we are going to review the new zapf creation baby born doll. The first thing you have to realize about this doll is it is very very very messy. If you have baby alive you know what I am talking about. The food only goes down well if it has a high water content. In order to give her a bottle you literally have to shove it in her mouth, which is hard for little kids to do. She also immediately wets her diaper after she eats or drinks. The doll only comes with two diapers and the baby born brand diapers are like six bucks just for a four or six pack. If you buy this doll get real newborn diapers at the store because it is a lot cheaper! The doll can go in the bath with you too. Now here is something that will make you definitely not want to buy this. My friend's baby born grew mold! Yes, mold!It is a giant parent time commitment to keep this doll clean and if you do not flush it out with the hole in the back of the doll like every five seconds it grows mold! Yes, it is very gross and revolting. After about a month or two the doll will just start to reek and stink. Then you may even have to throw it out! Well, I guess I will just tell you what it comes with in case you like a big mess and buy this doll for your little girl. The doll comes with the outfit it's wearing, a potty, two diapers(one which it is already wearing),a bottle and cap, two pacifiers(one makes her eyes close), a bowl and spoon, a few packets of baby born food, and I think a toy. I would suggest staying away from this doll. -Allie age 13

My daughter just got this doll for her 4th birthday and picked it out at the store herself. She wanted the Baby Alive doll originally, but when she saw this one and we read to her what it could do she was ready to take it home! As parents, we loved it because it didn't need batteries and doesn't talk like the Baby Alive doll, which seemed like it would be annoying after a short while! My daughter loves feeding this doll her bottle, making her go potty, and also making her cry. The food is kind of a pain, and luckily my daughter realized that too and is just content to give her the bottle of water instead. On the package it said the doll could giggle, but it turned out that the "giggling" is just a squeak sound it makes when you squeeze her left arm. That's fine with me though! The least amount of noise it can make the better! It comes with a pacifier that makes the doll's eyes close when you give it to her which is cute. My daughter also loves the fact the she can take the doll into the bath with her. I do wish it came with more diapers. It only comes with 2, and the doll wets quite a bit after giving her the bottle. I guess we'll just have to put her on the potty right away every time we feed her, but my daughter has fun doing that anyway. For anyone with a little girl who loves dolls but doesn't want to hassle with batteries and likes quiet toys, I would recommend this doll. We love it and our daughter does too!

This was a Christmas gift for a 5 year old. It takes a parent to feed, put on potty and definitely to clean after each use. The child can't do it alone. High maintenance toy. Frustrating for kids.

My daughter received this doll for Christmas. I was very excited about the promised features, but feel it fell short in all regards. The only benefit of this doll is that it can go into the bathtub with your child. I find it very difficult to make it pee (at the correct time), shed tears, clean it out, get it to sit in the potty, and even get the bottle in the doll's mouth so it will take water. My daughter always chooses her other dolls over this doll.

My 2 yr old daughter was given this doll from her grandmother. She absolutely loves it. One pacifier makes the baby's eyes close and the potty helped my daughter regain interest in trying to use the potty herself. I bought one for my niece because she and every other toddler that visits my house fights over it. She was thrilled with it. It is very easy to clean up. My daughter has given hers several mud baths and she cleans up easily. This is the doll that gets picked over all the other dolls every time.

I got this doll yesterday at tjmaxx. i got it for 24.99, i think on amazon it's 34.99...so i saved 10 bucs. i haven't gotten to play with it much...because i just got it yesterday evening! she comes with a purple potty/toilet,two binkys...1 white 1 pink the pink 1 makes her eyes close!,aclear bottle with pink rabbit/face top...u can fill it with water...feed it to the baby. she also comes with a few packets and cheesy dvd. one packet has her baby "food" in it. she also comes with ONE diaper...so either use the diaper a few times...use her potty after the diaper for the rest of your life...or keep buying more baby born diapers. i'm going with the potty for however long i keep the doll. i could NOT figure out how to make her cry!!!!! finally i found some directions...and found out how! you have to feed her a FULL bottle of water...and squeeze the bottle while having it in her mouth...tilt the bottle and get it up as far into her mouth as u can...and while ur squeezing it...push it into her mouth. as in.......push it up, bring it down a bit...push it up...bring it down a bit...then when the whole bottle of water's completely gone..star squeezing the middle of her right arm, and tears come out. they last about 10 times...so if u waNT TO DO IT AGAIN...U HAVE TO fill up the whole bottle again! anyway...i really like the doll,a nd i named her RACHAEL. hope u like the doll2!!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars not what I was expecting, December 27, 2007

I got this doll for my 3 year old. She is interested in baby dolls and since she is having a hard time potty training, I thought it would get her excited to use the potty. I read the instructions and still have a hard time figuring out how to get the doll to function properly. It is way more trouble and mess than it's worth. The fact that it requires no batteries is a plus, but the only noise ours makes is more like a squeeky toy than a baby! My daughter enjoys playing with it regardless. She especially likes that it can bathe with her. But all in all, she'd be just as happy with a doll that doesn't eat, drink and use the bathroom, and so would I!

There is not a magic potty, just a simple one. So the name of the product and its description does not correspond to the real item.

As for the doll itself it is really cute and well made. But my girl wants her to cry-sound and laught, say mama-papa, and is not really interesting in real feeding and making her pi-pi or cry tears. Besides the volume of water out is too large. Oh, she likes to bath her doll.

This baby doll arrived exactly as described and the picture is very accurate. The doll seems to be very durable. My niece wanted "a doll that goes potty" for Christmas and this one meets the description without having to worry about batteries and tons of extra functions.

Very hard to play with even for an eight year old. The bottle has got to be held at exactly the right position to get her to cry. (the adults in the house have not got this to happen yet). Very messy. She would need a real diaper to hold all the water that flows from her bottom.
