Well, I don't mind paying [$$] for a dollhouse as long as it is worth the money. And assuming my daughter is going to play with it. :O) I ordered this for Christmas 2004 so she hasn't seen it yet...obviously.

But...I'm not impressed. It is made from cardboard!!! It doesn't do anything special. The fisher price little people doll houses are the same price and much better quality. They come with lots of accessories and moving parts!

Very disappointed with the value for your money! How durable can this be???

My 5 yr. old Daughter loves it, it is cardboard, but sturdy. She pretend plays for hours with this and the babies.

I agree that its not worth the money, but we own the other 5-sies (the actual plastic ones) and my daughter would rather use the dolls that come with this house for candyland (actually, they are perfect for board games!)

The whole house is cardboard, but my daughter loves it just the same. Its pretty durable, but dont stomp on it or throw big things on it. We do own "better" houses but my daughter enjoys carrying it to a friend a few houses down from us (cute plastic handle). Everything is just painted on, but its actually a great house to store the dolls (we made a hatch to keep the punch-out door closed). Its very fun for her to play with... And my only real complaint is one very common in dollhouses
***Why do they make a 2nd floor and no stairs? I never quite noticed until my daughter pointed this out, but really... why dont they?

All in all its a great toy, I doubt I would have purchased it if I saw it in a store, but buy the plastic Quints, it makes the toy much more fun

I bought this for my 4 yr old along with the babies, the cribs, the strollers, the high chairs, and the merry go round. She loves it. She has given each baby their own personality, and has realized that being a mommy is a lot of work, especially with 5! The babies are just the right size for her little fingers. They all come with extra pieces which is a lot to pick up, but she is pretty good at keeping track of everything. This is a fun toy because it allows her to use her imagination with them. Don't be surprised is you hear your child talk to the babies the way you talk with them. It is a lot of fun for both her and myself. She often needs "help" because she has so mamy babies. I highly recommend it!

I agree with the other reviewers - I couldn't tell from reading the box what was included & what wasn't. (...) I think my daughter will enjoy playing with it but it probably won't last long because it doesn't look very sturdy. I would have been very upset if I had paid the original price for this. Most other toy manufacturers make it clearer what's included in their sets and what isn't.

We bought this for our 4 1/2 year old daughter and are very disappointed. The floor on the fold out part is all bubbled (it's a sticker) and there are not all the items that you think are included. The box is very decieving. Good thing I opened it before giving it and bought some extra accessories. At least I thought good thing until she tried to put the babies on the rocking horses and they just keep flipping off or won't fit at all (one of their legs won't open wide enough to fit!. The drawers on the changing table cannot be opened by a child (not even our 9 year old) and have to be opened by us. Very upsetting gift. Lots of fustration here. I even called MGA and got NO help at all. I would not recommend this toy at all.

This house is not worth it. All your getting is a cardboard house. The advertising is deceiving. There is no furniture and the only accessories is cardboard people and TINY plastic teddy bears and bottles for each person. On the box it says lots of accessories and furniture packs. The furniture is drawn onto the walls. My mom bought it for my 4-yr old and she took it back. It wasn't even worth the $7.50 that she paid for it.

This is a great little house for tiny dolls. I love the fun and authentic furniture and decorations in the house.After I opened it, I wanted it for myself. It just big enough and it opens and closes easily for carrying with you or storing it. Little girls will love it, especially if they get the 5-sies dolls to go with it. Five paper dolls come with it,but the real tiny babies are even better to play with in it.

For $3.98, grab this dollhouse for a gift or for your own house!
I have owned it for well over a year and my kids love it and yes, it HAS held up fine! No, you can't walk on it, but my kids aren't easy on their toys, but it still looks new!
It works well with Polly Pocket too!
I'm buying a second one!

I bought this dollshouse over a year ago when my daughter turned two. I wasn't sure if she'd like a dollshouse yet, so I bought this cheap one, which was only $10 at Target.

Not only did my daughter LOVE it, but so did all her friends - and they still do. Other parents joke that they could have saved lots of money on dollshouses when their kids come over, ignore my daughter's other, more expensive, toys, and make a bee-line to this cardboard dollshouse.

The house IS delicate - it's only made of sturdy cardboard - but it's lasted for over a year in our house with regular playing. Ours came with little cardboard dolls and stands, tiny plastic teddy bears, plastic bottles, and tiny toy blocks. The floors are also sturdy enough to hold small stuffed animals (who sometimes get put down for naps in the house).

I don't know why this simple dollshouse has been such a hit in our house. But for a year this has been one of my kids most used toys. The other reviews sound terrible, but if the price is low (I thought $10 was about right), and the product is not faulty or damaged, go for it. It's worked for us!
