5.0 out of 5 stars Great Songs by the Great Gravitte!
What a pleasurable CD! Frankly, I never had heard Gravitte before, but after two songs on this CD, I became a devoted fan. It's so rare to find a singer who can sing songs with humor as well as passion, while never missing a note! Listen to "I Love a Piano" --- when has a piano sounder as sexy? Or how about Mickey Rooney's "Treat Me Rough?"...

1.0 out of 5 stars Only 1 good song on this CD
I am sorry but the only great song on this CD is "Nevertheless, I'm in love with You". If all the songs on this CD were as good as this one, she'd be a hit! It's terrible what she did to the "Theme to 2001". Buy it for the one song or pass on it. She has a great voice, just needs better songs.

Or how about Mickey Rooney's "Treat Me Rough?" Feminists may protest its message but have to admit that Debbie's interpretation is sultry.
She can even sing the blues, as demonstrated by her rendition of "Love Me or Leave Me" and "Nevertheless I'm in Love With You." Her "Where the Boys Are" is exquisitely done in a plantive voice with a funky sax coming in at the interlude. A lot of the power of this CD is due to Ron Abel's imaginative arrangements as well as Debbie's flawless voice.
If you like early Streisand and Vikki Carr, this is the CD for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, June 23, 2005
This review is from: The MGM Album (Audio CD)
What a great find this was, First heard 1 song on my local radio station (Love me or Leave me) I was blown away by her rendation. Had a very hard time finding the cd, but I did, at $4.00 at a local used cd store. What a shame, she has no other solo ventures. Looking forward to hearing more from this Wonderful talented lady.
