I bought these because I love the style and wanted something a little nicer than my Tevas to run around in during the hot L.A. summers. These fit the bill perfectly!

I was a little concerned about the incredibly annoying cross-bar that comes down from the front and slides between your toes; I've never been able to wear split-toe thong shoes because the thing digs into my foot like a razor. Sure enough, when I tried the shoe on it felt like I was in a torture chamber. It was also quite wide to be fitting between someone's toes, especially women, who tend to have smaller feet. It was well made and carefully wrapped in leather, but too wide and extraordinarily uncomfortable, at least for me. I gave it a go, and it didnt work.

Expecting this, and being unwilling to return these sandals (which are really very nice), I got out my Xacto blade and did a little surgery, carefully removing the leather crosspiece from each shoe. I slipped the sandal on and it was perfect! I've worn them a number of times since. They are lovely and comfortable and my feet dont slide around in them. The sole grips the ground and isnt slippery.

The single issue I have with these sandals is that they are just a wee bit tricky for me to buckle since the buckles are on the outside of the ankle and are rather small. It looks great and I wouldnt necessarily want that changed, but the buckles themselves could have been a higher quality and the holes drilled in the ankle straps, which must fit snugly, are a wee bit too small to make buckling the sandals as easy as it could be. Once theyre on, though, theyre extremely comfortable and a pleasure to wear and to walk in. They are well made out of materials that feel like very good quality.

These shoes are a five-star item save for the very uncomfortable crosspiece between the toes, which I had to remove but which many women will undoubtedly be fine with, and the issue with the somewhat recalcitrant buckles. I would definitely recommend these, and I'd buy them again myself without hesitation.

I love these shoes - they're well-crafted, comfortable and not for the faint of heart. I am writing this review in 2008 but I don't think the roman-sandal craze will affect the minions for at least another summer or two. I highly recommend these to give your summer wardrobe a modern feel. Oh, and don't forget the breastplate

these sandals are really cute. when I first tried these on, i thought the toe thong was going to be really uncomfortable (as another reviewer mentioned), but it has turned out to be a mostly non-issue. they are pretty comfortable, although I have sort of wide feet and wonder if they're going to be really stretched out by the end of the summer (have only worn these a few times now). in any case, they were definitely worth the price.

Very Nice quality and very comfy sandals, walk in those every single day at vacation, and loved it.

First of all, I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE Amazon.com and I have had the best experience with them, in every order I have made. I live in Puerto Rico and its hard to get stores/websites that ship here. So I tried it out and its great. This isn't my first order of shoes. I got these and two other pairs of shoes. First of all, I placed the order on March 17th and I got it March 19th which was even before I expected them. I haven't worn the shoes yet (I bought them because I am going on a cruise, so I'm saving them for that week) but when I tried them on they were super comfortable, super pretty. I bought half size down like one of the users that reviewed because I too wanted them to be snug around my foot, but I believe they run pretty true to size. They're beautiful, very high quality and worth every penny. I'll check in after my cruise to tell you how they do in comfort.

I bought 2 MIA, these are what i received today. They hurt my feet at the first few trys, the area between the bigtoes and the toes next to them, maybe it's new, i think it should be ok after a few wears. They are very comfortable and well-crafted leather. I would recommend these to my friends.

The only thing i don't like is that they often change the price, 2 weeks ago is $15.99, when i bought $20.99, now $19.31, same seller. If you want to buy, buy it now.

These were something I have seen EVERYWHERE this spring and summer. I was a bit hesitant to buy these in the store, as I thought the straps would rub all over my foot. I tried on other different brands of this shoe, and I didn't care for how it fit, the style of straps, etc, etc. I took a blind leap of faith when I saw this shoes, and I bought the bronze pair. As far as sandles go, these are VERY excellent quality! I feel feminine in this style, unlike other brands. In fact, I love these so much I need all of the colors for next summer!

These are true to size, but I go up an extra half size. I don't want my toes anywhere near the edges, so they won't get dirty. I can't stand when women wear shoes and their toes curl over the edges of shoes. When they pick up their feet, it's all black and dirty. YUCK!

I BOUGHT THIS SANDAL FOR MY HUSBAND, HE HAS LITTLE AND NARROW FEETS,(HE WEARS 9,5 OR 10 WOMEN'S, AND SOMETIMES LIKES TO WEAR WOMENS'S FLAT SANDAL(NO HEELS), UNDER MALE CLOTHINGS.
WITH THIS MODEL UNDER SHORT/LONG CLOTHING HE LOOKS VERY NICE AND HAD A LOT OF COMPLIMENTS ALSO AT THE WORK FROM COLLEGUES.
