4.0 out of 5 stars There are ways around this people
I knew before buying these tablets they had horrible reviews but I also read that there were ways to reroot the system and have the tablet work just as good as any REAL tablet. I spent about tweve hours trying to figure this out but I finally did and they work fantastic now :) I am not a computer genius by any means but this is pretty cool. Let me know if you still have...

I purchased this item about a month ago. I knew the price was much cheaper than any other tablet I have seen displayed but considered an inexpensive tablet before moving on to a more pricey alternative. I have realized that I do enjoy the use of a tablet but not this particular product. At the very minimum my mindset thought that I could use the MID 80003 with Google Andriod 2.2 as a E-Reader. Even though that is possible it may or may not work properly. When I use it through Kindle it may work seven of ten times. Thank goodness for Amazon Andriod Apps or there would not be any apps to add other than the pre-programmed app store which is Chinese. Not all apps are acceptable to this device as it reads it "a undefinable device" in some cases including the App store at Amazon. The battery if you are lucky will go two and half hours on a charge. So if you use it you better be looking for a wall outlet! It is a product of China and they still have a looooooooooooooong way to go,even though its inexpensive, to the quality of tablets on the market. Save your money and wait for the fall when Archos 80 or Archos 101 to come on the scene. Good price, good battery life, with Android 3.1.

3.0 out of 5 stars Are you deciding on a tablet?, November 7, 2011

This review is from: New 8 inch MID 80003 Google Android 2.2 Touchscreen Tablet PC Supports External 3G, inbuilt WIFI Camera (Personal Computers)
I bought 2 of these exact tablet PC's. One 4 months ago for myself, and another for a friend as a gift now. The 3G feature is pretty much out of the question, you need specific SIM cards, additional modems, and the made in China limits the product further. There are tutorials, and some people managed to get them to work, but it is rare. WiFi is excellent, and speed is excellent all around, within limits. If you run apps from the built in store, you are OK. But a USA Google app, hijacked from the net, such as Angry Birds will slow it down ALOT. It has a CPU plus a 2nd DSP cpu. A DSP cpu is an extra cpu that's stripped of functions, in the theory that a small instruction set is efficient and can run processes quicker. I am quessing this one is used for the internet. That's what most do. Or for storage management. One or the other. I liked this for the price, but the power supply plug was the same size as the headphone jack. I plugged the power supply into the headphone jack just to see how bad engineering can get. It was bad. My poor chinese tablet never worked again. The power supply jack should be plugged into the lower right hole with the screen facing you, and the front side of the tablet with the big button with arrow is on the right. The book will not tell you this, so enough said.

This review is from: New 8 inch MID 80003 Google Android 2.2 Touchscreen Tablet PC Supports External 3G, inbuilt WIFI Camera (Personal Computers)
I bought this item from a different website. There is nothing positive about this product. To keep it simple "this product is junk". Do not waste money on this. It is very slow, touch screen doesn't respond correctly and does behave random, making it a completely useless product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage Tablet from China., December 5, 2011
This review is from: New 8 inch MID 80003 Google Android 2.2 Touchscreen Tablet PC Supports External 3G, inbuilt WIFI Camera (Personal Computers)
This is a total piece of Garbage straight out of China. The flash player is installed but will not run, you can't watch videos on any site that uses flash. This was the main reason I purchased this item. The apps store will not let you download apps to the tablet. You get a download failed message every time on every app. The WiFi breaks in and out dropping your internet connection. This tablet has nothing at all going for it, please save your money,DO NOT BUY THIS TABLET. wait until you are able to buy a more expensive, mainstream tablet. You will be glad you did. The old saying you get what you pay for is very true.

This review is from: New 8 inch MID 80003 Google Android 2.2 Touchscreen Tablet PC Supports External 3G, inbuilt WIFI Camera (Personal Computers)
Yes. A piece of junk. I have had it for about 4 months. I can't access the android market to download apps which is why I purchased it in the first place. It's slow when surfing the internet. The adapter has a shortage in it and there is no information as to how to order a replacement so I had to stop using it. I decided to use it today and it doesn't work at all. It will not boot. It stays on the android icon with no movement. You definitely get what you pay for.

3.0 out of 5 stars it is ok, but not great, February 4, 2012

This review is from: New 8 inch MID 80003 Google Android 2.2 Touchscreen Tablet PC Supports External 3G, inbuilt WIFI Camera (Personal Computers)
This tablet has some pros and cons... poor touch sensitivity and too slow for most game apps or youtube videos to work properly. It is great for internet surfing and e-books. The size and user friendliness is good. So it can be good or bad for you depending on what you want to use it for. My son hoped to use it for game apps, so he was not happy with it's performance. I use it for looking at web sites and checking email, so for that purpose it works great.

This was supposed to have been a present for myself. However, it was so sweet, I gave it to my son. It has everything that my netbook has, and then some. It records, and it's small. I think I'll have to get another one, soon. I also ordered a keyboard case for it, that's sweet too ! What truly got my attention for this product, was the price.

I purchased this in August and for a while it seemed OK -- slow and not many apps available, but for the price, not too bad. But in just over 90 days, it completely stopped working -- all it does is display the android logo. I wrote to digideals, who sold it to me, and they completely washed their hands of it. I'm trying to reach the manufacturer but with no help in sight. I was taken for over $100 on a useless piece of trash. Do NOT buy this unless you are looking for an extremely expensive paper-weight.
