Green, purple, and scary looking, this toy dragon comes tethered to a battery-operated remote control. Press the remote’s left button, and the dragon lumbers slowly forward and its eyes light up red--all while you hear the sound of its thundering steps ("boom ... boom ... boom"). Hit the right button, and it rotates its neck, opens its jaws, and roars loudly and convincingly. (Be careful not to wake up the neighbors.) The toy is nicely detailed, but because the remote’s cord is fixed, there’s little else you can do with it. The remote itself resembles a fossil. --Andy Boynton

My 7 year old picked this out as the birthday gift for his friend. It was not what I had in mind but he insisted! Sure glad I listened. This was a huge hit. The birthday boy LOVED this.

The dragon walks slowly but he does walk. The boys had no trouble getting this dragon to walk on carpet and hard floor. There are enough bells and whistles, or in this case, lights, action, and sounds to make this very interesting to this age group...6 - 10. He is quite loud and scared the babies at the party but we enjoyed watching the older boys playing with this and did not mind holding our babies.

I will be picking one of these up for my guys! It is a great add-on that will "breathe new life" (pardon the pun) into the ole' fisher price castle guy toys, the playmobile castle set, or even the imaginext castle set.

If your little guys love dragons and are a bit old for the cutesy ones geared for pre-schoolers, this is perfect!

My 3 yr old was really into dragons and we couldn't find many dragon toys. He saw this in a newspaper ad and asked Santa for it. He's has really enjoyed it. I am not sure how durable it really it - we keep it up on a shelf when he's not playing with it. He later got the T-rex version and the tail fell off right away.
