This is my first binocular purchase and in doing internet research, the range of options are pretty overwhelming and it is clear that you need to understand how you will use your binoculars to ensure you make a good choice. For me, I wanted a pair to watch winter sports with. So that meant they have to be waterproof. And for eyeglasses wearers like me they also needed to high eye relief (>15MM). Now things started to get complicated with what size and power to use. Personally, I quickly gravitated to compact binoculars because I can remember how my friends tend to not carry larger binoculars to sporting events. But since these were sports binoculars, I wanted something with a large field of view.

And given these was my first pair, I wasn't ready to pay $600 for Zeiss or Leicas, so I bought these for 1/4 of the price and am very happy with them.

This is my favorite and sharpest binocular that I use for sports, especially football. The image is sharp and it can be used with my eyeglasses, it is head and shoulders above my other binoculars from reputable companies. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted the best binoculars with the sharpest optics.

I wanted something to keep in the glove compartment and for concerts; this little Minox binocular fits the bill perfectly.

* Adjustable eye cups mean I can use them with or without my glasses
* Smooth focus controls

When I can't (or don't want to) carry my big Steiner binoculars, these do an awesome job.
