When I first purchased this press, I gave it a 5-star rating. I have now used it almost a year. The handle bent. This is a major negative. I am not superman. It should be stronger. The good points are still true:
1) It is all stainless steel, no rubber or plastic parts.
2) I can press garlic without peeling the garlic.
3) It is easy to remove skin of previous clove with knife point, to place another unpeeled garlic in the press.
4) It has slightly larger holes, which makes it easy to use.
5) It is easy to clean in the dishwasher.
6) Very little juice comes back from the press on the top. I add the drop or two to the food.

The major drawback is that it needs heavier construction. The metal flexes slightly when new and after a few months bent so I had to throw it out. If you peel your garlic and are not too forceful, it probably would be OK.

The very first time I used this press, it broke down. I inserted 2 medium size garlic cloves and pressed the metal handles. The upper handle BENT (!), the nail that attached it to the base popped out.
This press is made of very light metal, which could not withstand normal pressure. I returned the press. Shame on the manufacturers!

I was looking for a plastic-free garlic press without non-stick finish that was sturdy and actually worked. This seems to be "the one" so I am very happy with my purchase.

The first time I used it I was amazed at how much garlic actually got pressed through the holes in comparison to my last press (a Pedrini). This new press works at least 10 times better than the old press.

It is designed so that you can't harm yourself by pinching your fingers as you press (a good thing for those of us that are accident-prone) and is easy to clean.

As mentioned by a previous reviewer, this garlic press is large, easy to clean and sturdy. It seemed a little overpriced compared to some I've seen in stores, but when it arrived I realized why. I have no fear of breaking this one.

After having several garlic presses that didn't cut it (including OXO), I resigned myself to mincing my own. I saw positive reviews of this product and decided to give a garlic press one more try and I'm glad I did. This gadget is indeed jumbo (8" long and 1 1/2" wide) so it takes up a bit of storage space, but it works like a charm. The cylinder is big enough for many cloves and has the strength and leverage to mince in one press. Easy to remove the skins and 18/8 Stainless steel can be put in the dishwasher without rusting.

Bought it for my daughter-in-law. She has found it to be easy to use and easy to clean. Good value.

If you are fussy about quality in your kitchen, this garlic press is the best. Easy to use, strong and reliable. No more bent handles because the garlic won't squeeze. You will love it.

I bought this MIU stainless steel garlic press to replace a junky, cheap aluminum one that I've been putting up with for 20+yrs. This one is sturdy and well made. I like the design. Garlic doesn't squeeze out around the edges of the presser plate, and the plate swings out of the way for easy cleaning. I have carpal tunnel problems in both hands so I'm not a "power squeezer" by any means, but I find this garlic press easy and comfortable to use. It does take more space to store than my old one..not a big deal. I know some people prefer to "whack" their garlic cloves with the side of a knife. I have good quality kitchen knives..I can't see doing that.

i like the simplicity of the press.. but i find it hard to actually squeeze it to actually crush the garlic out. i'm not totally feeble but this press makes me feel super weak

While this press makes great minced garlic, there is a serious drawback; the lower handle bent during normal use, and I had to toss it. I really recommend getting a press with stronger / solid handles.
