This review is from: MIU France Set of 4 Silicone Spatulas, Pastel Colors (Kitchen)
These are a nice, cheap set of spatulas that get the job done. They are listed for $11.99 and i bought them for $8.99 - the price seems to fluctuate.
The silicone spatula part is heat resistant and works beautifully when cooking. The only drawback is that the handles are not as heat resistant...and that is where the wooden handle would have come in handy. I have a set of williams sonoma ones (wood handle, silicone spatula) and if i rest it against the pan it is fine. I rested one of these for a sec and the heat began to eat at the plastic...it wasn't an accident -- i am just used to using wooden spoons/spatulas --so it surprised me...but as long as you keep that in mind and keep the spatulas clean - they work great and are a super buy. The multiple sizes are very handy - the smaller one is great for frosting cupcakes. Edit: 7/10/06: i was using one of the spatulas to stir something hot (in a saucepan) and it was only about a minute or two -- and the spatula split in half. yup. Anyhow - these have not turned out to be so good as far as stirring hot items...but for frosting cupcakes or for batter/cookies (cold/room-temperature items) - they are great.

The color matches but they do not look like the pic shown. They are not 10 inches long. There are 4 spatulas, the small yellow is 9-1/4, the pink and blue are the same size and lenght at 9-1/2, the purple is the largest and it's lenght is 11-1/2 inches. I do not know if they are silicone, feel like the ones I had 40 years ago, nor if they are MIU. They came in a plan plastic bag with only a upc sticker and a sticker that said "made in china". They are Spatulas and work as a Spatula is to work. I cannot put them in the dishwasher because the heads fall off the handle. At this time I do not know if they stain.

Spatulas that take the heat,
This review is from: MIU France Set of 4 Silicone Spatulas, Pastel Colors (Kitchen)
This is a nice set of spatulas. It's only after you get them that you realize how useful they are. Here are some of the ways I use them, you can see why I like to have many.
- Yawn. For getting every last drop of batter or anything in a bowl or blender. OK, this is their basic use. - Stirring a quick-bread mix: muffin, pancake, waffle batter. Stiff enough to stir and soft enough to get every part of the bowl, great for efficient stirring that won't toughen your batter (too much stirring forms gluten...) - Moving seasoning fats in a pan. Some teflon-safe utensils don't hold up, and even when they do, they don't get pan-floor coverage like these. If have a film of hot oil, and you add some really hot sauce or paste to create a coating for your vegetables or pasta, you have to make sure all the oil gets to all the ingredient. Enter silicone spatulas. - Neatly taking down a ring-around-the-serving dish, if sauce sloshes on the side and tends to dry to a crust. Also works well in a fondue pot or deep fryer with batter crust on the sides - Applying gentle pressure to any straining device to get the liquid out without forcing solids through like spoons and harder utensils do - Dislodging parts of a waffle without damaging the waffle or the teflon on the iron. - Counter clean-up. Great for moving a small spill, like a squeegee Now in addition to all this, these particular spatulas have never lost their heads after being in a dishwasher. They do just fine in dishwashers and release everything they've picked up with no additional rinsing (silicone is also very non-stick)
