Butter warmers are advertised as stainless steel but when they arrived, a quick inspection proved that all items were made of cheap steel that had a bad chrome plating job. Nothing was made from stainless steel that was included in the package. Package just arrived but do not expect the set to last past a couple of dishwashings before everything starts to rust. Very disappointed, would not reccomend to anyone.

When having a lobster or crab dinner these are a must have. Easy to use and easy clean up. Supurb quality.

If you don't care about show, these industrial looking butter warmers are great. Slight problem is the flame may be a little too close to the bowls, so fill bowls well, a little instead of a lot will turn your butter to ghee.

While the specifications said this set was stainless steel, the cups that hold the butter started to rust after the first use. I hand-washed and dried them, but wasn't able to remove the stains. I think the stainless steel must be very low grade or just very thin. Even when using the small tea lights, it would still make the butter burn. I have a ceramic set at home that's perfect. But I wanted a set of four for our beach house and can't say I'm that pleased. They ARE nice looking, but not the best quality.

These are a gotta have. Not only for lobster or crab, but for steamed mussels and clams to keep the butter and broth hot. I even use them for bernaise sauce or any other sauce I want to keep hot.

Purchased two sets as gifts - perfect because they look nice on the table and you don't have to worry about breaking them like the ceramic ones
