I had high expectations for this salad spinner, but it fails in 3 areas. First, it is nearly impossible to get the spinner to go fast enough to get the water off of the lettuce! That defeats the original purpose of this device. Second, it's rather small - you must wash and spin the "average" head of lettuce in halves. Third, although the outer shell is all stainless steel, the handle and the internal basket are just inexpensive plastic, just like any other spinner. The handle in my new unit has popped off a few times. I don't expect this spinner to last more than a year or two. I would avoid this item.

This salad spinner is great for a very small head of lettuce, but cannot hold enough for me to buy a large one. This is a problem for us because we eat a lot of lettuce and can't hold a lot for a later time if we want.

The other problem is that I was dumb and put the plastic lid that came with it in the dishwasher and it shrunk; it doesn't fit anymore. Other than that, it is a good spinner-- good system, and is easy to use. Plus, it is nice looking, which is always a bonus. The bowl is useful as a back up mixing bowl or a serving bowl if necessary.

It was only about $14 more than the model under it but was eligble for super saver shipping so in reality was maybe $8 over the price of the lower model - well worth the cost difference. My wife is a vegetarian and was thrilled to get such a well designed salad spinner. I would highly recommend this purchase you'll never need to buy another one.

Item was not marked as MIU and appeared to be an extremely generic chinese knock-off. Would have maybe been ok had the item worked, however it didn't spin and based on the construction of the item there was no reaso why it shouldn't have. Very unsatisfactory item. Thankfully shipping it to and from was free!

This is a real nice Product. Stainless Steel bowl, Snap tight plastic Lid to keep stuff fresh for storage. The handle is just the right size to grip and crank it around. Easy to clean and remove inner basket. Most important, it will dry your salad or whatever you have pretty darn near dry. I myself have tried the cheap all plastic models and there is no comparison. No more watered down salads for me.

Initially only problem was the handle occassionally popping off; otherwise worked great. Then after 10 mos, a plastic part on the top that is integral to the spinning action broke off and now it is totally worthless. Way too much money for only 10 mos of use!

Does a great job rinsing and spinning but it is a little on the small side. Large salad for 4 is max. Spins dry enought to package greens in baggies and keep in the fridge. It's also nice to be able to use the attracive stainless steel bowl on the table and the lid in the fridge. The handle did pop off while spinning; hope this is not a regular occurance. I think it beats the plastic models hands down.

The spinner mechanism of this product didn't seem much sturdier than those of plastic spinners and I prefer to work with plastic salad spinners so I returned it.

I was delighted to find this product as i thought it was stainless steel. It was meant as a gift, and so by the time the box was opened it was past the 1 month return policy. While the spinner operates smoothly, etc.. the inner basket is plastic... NOT stainless steel. I would expect that when something is advertized as stainless steel, there should be mention of an inner plastic spinner bowl. I would otherwise have stuck with my $10 spinner from walmart, as the food still makes contact with plastic. This was clearly a miscommunication problem by amazon... and a costly one for me.

This is great! I have never owned a salad spinner and thought it was a worth a try. I love it! We use it almost every day. The salad is so dry after using this. It will last quite a few days in the same bowl that you spin it in. Easy to do and all is dishwasher safe!
