I picked these out for my birthday and hubby purchased them for me. The lids do not fit well. So poorly, in fact, that the lids just come off by picking up the bowls and moving them. I filled one bowl with water, put the lid on, and held the lid on with both hands. I turned it upside down over the sink and the water just poured out, even with me trying to hold the lid on. They just don't fit at all. I do really like the look and sizes of the bowls. The rubber bottoms work well to keep the bowls from sliding around.

These are great bowls in terms of build quality and sturdiness, the silicone rubber bases adhere smoothly and _solidly_ to the bowl's surface - my main worry when looking at a SS bowl with a rubber base was that over time the seal of the rubber would become loose, allowing unsanitary food to build up in the gap between the bowl surface and the rubber. It appears, after some moderately heavy use, that these are very well sealed and are unlikely to separate. My only (slight) complaint is that the bowls are not completely curved, and have a slight flare at the lip. I think this is intended to make them easier to hold, e.g. while whisking (as opposed to very round bowls), but if it matters to you, please take note.

Like the last reviewer said, these lids don't fit--at all! The largest bowl now has no lid for it because it kept popping off and in trying to force it to stay on, it ripped about an inch right through the curved sealed area and into the center. I bought these bowls for four reasons: 1. They're food grade stainless steel; 2. They have non-skid silicone bottoms (works great, too); 3. They came with lids for storage; 4. Ease of portability to family gatherings, picnics, etc.

Would have liked to hit a home run with these, but "3 out of 4 ain't bad".

Contrary to the other reviews regarding the lids not fitting, I have had NO problem with my lids. The lids fit great, tight, and the way they are supposed to. You SHOULD NOT put the lids in the dishwasher though. (As with any lid) Bowl quality is excellent and non skid bottoms are excellent as well. It doesn't appear that they will come off...Sizes are PERFECT! Highly recommeded product for the money! I would DEFINITELY purchase these as a gift for someone! The inside is like a brushed steel look - awesome!

This set of mixing bowls are wonderful. Here is a hint to make the lids fit the bowls properly. Fill your sink with some very hot water (not boiling) and put the plastic lids in the water for about 5 minutes. Take them out of the water and immediately (and securely) put them on the bowl and let the lids cool on the bowl. Now the lid is the proper shape for the size of the bowl and a perfect fit.

I bought these for our travel trailer, because of the non-skid bottoms, but now I may get another set for our home. Made very well and almost impossible to knock over.

What makes these bowls great is the no-slip bottom. My lids are snug and work well. These are the only bowls I now use for mixing, etc.

Good quality steel, silicone bottoms keep the bowls stable. Haven't had problems with the lids like others mentioned.

I've owned these bowls for about two years now and am quite pleased with them. I ordered my set in blue and use them for cooking, storing, transporting and serving; the bowls are upscale in appearance enough to use at everything but the most formal of events. In fact, these bowls are probably one of, if not the most used items (next to basic utensils) in my kitchen, I'm using at least one of them at any given time. The silicone bases really do work well to hold the bowl when mixing, and after two years of use the bases don't appear to have any cracks, discoloration, or scratches. The polished flared edges of the bowl work well to hold the bowl and look nice in contrast to the brushed metal below it, they get many compliments and everyone always asks where I got them. Some of the reviewers have had issues with the lids, I haven't really had any. When the lids are cold they can be a challenge to get on; however, if you just run them under lukewarm water for 10 seconds they are very easy to get on and form an airtight seal. Eighty-dollars seems like a lot for mixing bowls, but when you consider the features, appearance, and portability they are a great value.

The steel used in these bowls is laughably thin and weak. The bowls can be easily misshapen with your bare hands, and feel light and cheap overall. The lid issue is still valid. I don't like them, and for the price I paid I should be worshiping them for their quality, style, and functionality.
