They measure accurately... they are narrow and so fit nicely into jars... they do not have a 1/2 tablespoon but they do have a 1 teaspoon and a 1/2 teaspoon which is the same thing... they are not flimsy in any way and I believe they will last a long time.

I recently purchased these along w/ the original 5 piece measuring spoons. They are very heavy weight, and I love how they are made out of 18/10 stainless steal!!! I wish I could just buy a 10 piece set w/ all the items in one package, but thats not really a complaint. LOVE THEM! I recommend having the odd and orignal set!

This product is very helpful if you do a lot of cooking, particularly baking. I make different dough recipes on a weekly basis and never am quite sure of what I'll need in the way of measurements. I do occasionally find recipes that say things like "a pinch", a "smidgeon", or "a dash", etc., and this set of measuring spoons actually has things like that covered. If you need very precise measuring, like 2 teaspoons, then it will also be a big help. If you don't do a lot of baking, though, I would say it is not a 'must-have' item for your kithen.

I didn't even know these existed until a friend of mine was showing me how to make her bread recipe - which required 1 1/2 tblsp. of salt and yeast - out come her "odd sized" spoons - of course, as soon as I got home I found a set myself and ordered them instantly. Now, I find I use them more than the others! Crazy - how did I live without them? *lol*

I believe in paying a little more for getting more value. I am in the process of updating my kitchen with utensils that will last me 30+ years. And this will be one of them. It is a little heavy to use considering it is metal. But that is the same adjustment when you go from BIC pens to Tiffany executive pen. This is a must if you are serious about your kitchen gadgets.

Yes I know they are just measuring spoons BUT, the quality is so high you would think that they were made by Rolls Royce! They just feel good to use, the markings are clear and the bowl shape is convenient. Well worth the cost you will have them forever.

These are NOT cute names for 1/4, or 1/2 spoon fulls, but made up sizes! If recipie asks for "just 1/2 spoon of xxx, this does NOT have 1/2, it has "A smigen". which is not a cute name for 1/2.

I would buy this set, but it does not include a 1/2 Tbsp. Very handy when splitting recipies. Why don't more manufacturers include this measurement?
