Not that it matters, but MIU France was founded in Hong Kong in 1978 and moved to mainland China 18 years later. These are heavy-
weight stainless and have a nice oval shape for getting into smaller spice jars without creating waste. These complement the 7-piece MIU France measuring cup set. A must for the serious baker.

I shopped online for good measuring spoons for some time. After sitting and debating with myself, for what seemed like hours, I took the plunge and bought them....And I am sooo glad I did!
After working with all different types of meas. spoons plastic, copper, silicone etc. these spoons are here to stay in my utensil drawer until I die, and they will last that long!
They have a great sturdy construction, they are NOT flimsy by any means. The long handle make them perfect for reaching into containers to scoop out your ingredients, like baking powder/soda, cornstarch etc.
The brushed handles make them less slippery to hold, while the polished spoons let ingredients slip out nicely. I also live in the country, and I have hard water, after having so many kitchen items say "stainless steel" on them, only to have them rust anyway. These spoons have not rusted at all, so they are indeed STAINLESS!
I personally don't like spending a lot of money on such things, but these spoons are worth every penny.

These measuring spoons are great! They have a nice weight to them and are not flimsy. Also the longer handle is a nice feature. Best measuring spoons I ever had and the price is right!

These are very well made, and I love the long handles and the oval bowls. My only complaint is that they are not labeled with metric measurements, which I occasionally use. But otherwise, a wonderful set! Would buy this again.

I love these spoon... they are heavy duty . They are also the longest spoons I have ever seen. The price was excellent, I cant see ever needing to buy another set. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Also look for the matching 5 or 7 piece measuring cup set.

My rating does NOT reflect the quality of the product: In searching for stainless measuring spoons made in the U.S.A., MIU's spoons cropped up. The description actually said MIU France. Since I never did find any of the spoons that were made in the U.S.A., (but for some really expensive pewter ones) I ordered these. When they arrived, I was unhappy to see that they were, in fact, Made in China. They did look sturdy, but we are trying to support, first, the U.S. manufacturing sector, second, another country's that is not covering the earth with slave-wage-made goods and destroying the environment.
So, I returned the spoons and cups for that reason.

Oh, and the stainless measuring cups (which did appear to be heavy-duty) that I'd ordered from the same company at the same time, were returned for the same reason.

Bottom line: If you care about such things, MIU France is a misleading designation.

These were run through the dishwasher once before the Tablespoon measuring spoon got a rust spot.

So much for "dishwasher safe!"

I expected the measuring spoons to be a little heavier, but I still love them. They look great hanging next to my MIU SS 7-Piece measuring cup set. The only thing I would have liked better is if it came with a half tablespoon measure, but that is so uncommon to use, that I will live. It is a great set, and I will be giving all family members a set of measuring spoons for Christmas as well as the measuring cups. Great product, great quality, and wasn't bothered by the price. If you want the best, you might have to pay a little bit more, but you will be happy with the results

I was looking for an alternative to the overly-expensive Williams Sonoma measuring spoons and I have finally found it. These spoons are heavy duty and grade A quality! The long arms are a definite plus, and they are so attractive I hang them off of a meat fork in my stainless utensil bucket. I can't wait for my measuring cups to come in, as I have read they are also TOP quality!!

I liked these measuring spoons so much I bought a second set. The oval shape allows them to fit right into spice jars. So no more spilling all over the counter as you try to measure out the right amount of paprika! They are of a nice weight (don't feel cheap at all) and wash easily.
