5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Baby!
What other adjective is more appropriate to describe Isaac Mizrahi's ingenious creation than 'Fabulous'? Who else would have thought of combining the kitchz pop-art medium of cartoon with a satricical take on the fashion world but him, one of the freshest designers to come out of New York in recent years.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why I Would Never Buy This Book
After watching the first 20 minutes of E! on the Red Carpet/Golden Globes and hearing the unbelievably TASTELESS questions Isaac Mizrahi asked several actresses, I would NEVER buy anything he is associated with. He is definitely low-class; in fact, I would say that a Pleistocene bottom-feeder sits higher on the scale than this man.

The idea of using a supermodel as a superhero is inspired. Instead of the ability to walk up walls and fly out of burning buildings, Sandee is able to to pose all day, party all night and look gorgeous first thing in the morning on two hours sleep. In the trilogy of cartoons, we get to see Sandee as she first arrives in the big city from Bountiful, Utah, and how she is thrust into the bitchy world of catwalks and magazines.

Mizhari's tongue is firmly in his cheeck in this witty and unique expose. Watching Sandee teeter through various dilemnas, such as weight loss, demanding editors, evil agents and even a menage a trois, the reader is effectively thrust into this glamourous world. A must read for any lovers of fashion and pop-culture.

Isaac Mizrahi has done it again. He truly is a genious, not only in the fashion world, but also in writing. The illustrations are gorgeous and anyone who reads this is sure to fall in love with the lovely and innocent Sandee.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulously Fashionable!!, February 24, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: ISAAC MIZRAHI PRESENTS THE ADVENTURES OF SANDEE THE SUPERMODEL (S&S Editions Comic Book Series) (Hardcover)
It was so funny! Mizrahi has a horribly witty writing and the book as a whole is a masterpiece. It has everything and a behind-the-scenes look at the modern fashion industry. Mizrahi is not only a master of fashion, but a skilled writer and comedian. A read well worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars If there is a comic more FABULOUS, than please let me know!, September 10, 1999
This review is from: ISAAC MIZRAHI PRESENTS THE ADVENTURES OF SANDEE THE SUPERMODEL (S&S Editions Comic Book Series) (Hardcover)
If their is a comic strip more fabulous, I beg the smarmy bitchy gods of fashion to allow me an eensy, weensy peek at it! Its an insider's delight, for certain. But one need not get every joke to really lap it up... One only need love camp, satire and neuroticism to enjoy this! It helps if you have a clue about gay culture, (but, please, why would you be reading this review if you didn't? And, really, SHAME on you if you don't know anything about the life!), a FABULOUS clever witty mind, and you've set foot in NYC (or even Bountiful, Utah. Major double points for moi!) Seriously, I couldn't get enough of this comic strip, and decided (after being halfway through it) that I had to have it, and am so relieved it is not out of print. Get thee to your checkout cart with plastic in hand!Go, go!!!
