The MK Diamond 158434 MK-225 Hot Dog Diamond Blade is a premium-grade, thin-rim diamond blade built for wet cutting marble, porcelain, vitreous, and ceramic tile. Designed with innovative tenison slots, the MK-225 prevents dishing and blade wobble for precise cuts and improved safety. The blade's stiffened slot and ultra-thin kerf allow the MK-225 to cut with less drag and resistance than any other tile blade. This decreased resistance means longer blade life and increased cutting efficiency -- up to 10 percent faster than other porcelain blades. The MK-225 measures 7-by-0.05-by-5/8-inches (Diameter-by-Width-by-Arbor) and is not intended for use on metal, plastics, wood, or any other non-masonry materials.

I ordered these based upon the recommendation of my tile supplier for a 2000 SF porcelain tile project (they didn't have my size in stock). Now I can't see using any other blade for porcelain at this point. They lasted a whole lot longer than I expected them to at this price point.Just one thing to be aware of; for the first 30-40LF or so this blade is VERY aggressive cutting until the rim settles in, try to avoid any critical edge cuts at first. After it settles in it strikes a great balance between longevity, cut speed and cut quality.

I've cut alot of tile in my life. Once I purchased this blade my cuts are more accurate, faster cutting and this blade really lasts. I've cut everything with this blade without any hesitation, including granite and travertine.

This blade is worth the money for faster, good quality tile cuts even through porcelain tiles. Amazon's price was about 30% less than the local tile store!
