4.0 out of 5 stars Morse bandsaw blade ZCDB06, February 17, 2008

I have to agree with the previous reviews that I read - which indicated that this blade was far superior to the Delta blade that came with the bandsaw

4.0 out of 5 stars Good blade, inexpensive, available in odd sizes, November 21, 2010
This review is from: MK Morse ZCDB06 59 1/2-Inch x 1/4-Inch x .014 6TPI Wood Working Bandsaw Blade (Tools & Home Improvement)
This and the other Morse blades I've used are just fine for most band-sawing. At 6 TPI this makes a pretty smooth cut. As with most bandsaw blades, it's a good idea to stone the sides before using the blade. That evens-out the set and makes for much smoother cuts.

I would choose a coarser tooth-pattern for re-sawing, (3 TPI skip-tooth) though if you are looking at short blades like this, you probably are not planning to do much re-sawing anyway.

The great thing about Morse: they already make blades in different odd lengths that are nearly impossible to find. They will also make any custom length you want, quickly and economically. If you have a small imported bandsaw from Sears or Home Depot, knowing that will save you countless hours of searching. So that's one tip that can help you, even if you don't get this particular blade.

Overall, I have had good experiences with Morse blades. They are can be re-sharpened, they are accurately ground, made of decent carbon-tool steel and I have never had a weld break yet. They are a good value, especially for budget-conscious woodworkers.

I have used these before, and I reordered them because price and size are a fit. However, I find that the blade dulls too quickly.
