The best choice is buy the original MLA last edition. This is just to know the format of an essay. If u want moré information buy another book.

This book has assisted with many papers which I have written. The book has been invaluable. I recommend it to everyone who is required to use this writing style. Thanks for the book!

I recently purchased an MLA book only to find it was outdated already. The rules have changed. I have always had the best success at the owl Purdue web site. It contains the most up to date citing style, rules written in concise form, and with examples. Those examples, for me, I copy and paste them to my Works Cited page, then use them as guides right in front of me. The newest styles are essential for the best citing practices which are necessary to insure the works are being given proper credit (plus it insures a better grade along with eliminating that ever increasing threat of plagiarism). I have even included the web site in my citations since it was part of my research. I don't know if it is necessary, but more is better. In any event, with something as important as citing, always check the dates of print and assure yourself of the lastest information....I wasted 10 bucks on outdated information.
