Oriole Spud stands about 5 inches tall and stands in the transparent box wearing a batting helmet, black baseball shoes, an Oriole jersey, a face piece (comprising of eyes, nose, moustache, and bubblegum bubble) and two arms. Also included in the package are a baseball cap, two additional arms, and a second face piece featuring a big nose and a toothy grin sans moustache.

One immediately notices the look and feel of substance in this Potato Head line. Baseball Spud actually weighs two ounces more than the full sized Darth Tater wearing helmet, mask, and laser sword. Individual pieces of the Sports Spud seem heavier than those of other Mr. Potato Heads I have known and the details are incredible. The baseball's red seams are visible and textured for tactile appeal. Spud's baseball glove shows the seams and rawhide lacing of a real baseball mitt. My favorite piece is probably his baseball cap. Its loaded with detail with crisscrossing creases on top, a tricolored Oriole figure on the front and a MLB logo on the cap's back. The bill and the button on the cap's top are Oriole orange. The line detail along the edge of the cap's bill is a great touch.

This little spud has no storage compartment in the rear for storing extra pieces. I'm not sure where I'm going to store the extra body parts.

In 1949 George Lerner invented a set of body parts that could be attached to fruits or vegetables to make silly faces. He sold the idea to a cereal company and later bought the concept back and partnered with a New England toy company to create the toy that has evolved to Major League status, Mr. Potato Head.

Sports fans can find get a Potato Head dressed up in their favorite teams's uniform. I also have a Ravens Mr. Potato Head and look forward to owning a Terps Potato Head too.

I bought one of these in every favorite team I could find. My dad, brother and uncle loved it! I totally recommend it. It's small enough so they can put it on their desk at work, and cool enough to never be ashamed to show it off.
