5.0 out of 5 stars Woodworker Power Tool Push Block Review
Don't make your own. These items are properly priced and worth every penny. And, they work! I often use them in tandem. On the table saw, I use the long skinny unit in my left hand and one of the others in my right. I rest my left hand on the table surface and apply to-fence pressure on the infeed side of the blade to the workpiece. And, feed pressure with my right...

2.0 out of 5 stars better to buy separates
I use the L shaped push stick and the push pads all the time. I don't think I've ever used the long push stick, and I can't think of a situation where I'd use the double-handled push pad. When a friend of mine got a table saw I considered getting him this kit, and I realized that it would be more effective to just buy things I use individually.

It's not a bad...

The mantra for working around a table saw is or should be: It's a table saw. Do you know where your fingers are? Having said that, MLCS offers a 5-Piece Safety Push Block and Stick Package with five highly visible orange dodads to choose from, at a very reasonable price. MLCS makes it very easy to do the right thing. Buy them. They're cheap insurance. Keep all five of 'em right there within arms reach, just like the picture shows. Be choosey. One of those babies is bound to be the one that'll keep your precious apendages away from the whirling teeth of death. Then use them and use them and use them. The idea being to have the same number of digits when you leave the shop as when you walked in.

4.0 out of 5 stars Basic & Functional, April 21, 2008

Good, sturdy product. Nothing tricky or flashy about these accessories.
I wish the pads didn't collect dust so well, because it causes them to lose their grip on the wood. However, that's nitpicky, as a gentle cleaning will restore their original grip in an instant.
For the price, this is a good value.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value, September 14, 2008

Overall, the five piece set is a great value. The only small thing that detracts from the set is the fact that the pads are a cheap foam that will need to be replaced with normal use. That's ok, but you should know that going in. The more expensive pads have a more durable foam, but it's certainly not worth the factor of two or three in price that I've seen.

What can you say? They're push blocks. But they weren't expensive, and the foam rubber back grips great to let you control your workpiece better.

The only thing I wish they had were magnets in them so you could just stick them to the side of your equipment, but buy a few rare earth magnets and glue em on, and that fixes that.

It's not a bad kit, especially if you're not sure what you'll end up using, but like many "assortments", you end up paying for things that you don't want/need.

Made for a table saw but should work well with my radial arm saw instead od using scrap pieces of wood cobbled together.
