My daughter loves this light and has grown to depend on it, but I can only give it three stars because of the hassles involved in using it.

First, the batteries don't last very long if the light is left on all night. In order to save batteries, I like to have my daughter set it to the timed setting, which goes off after 15 minutes. Unfortunately she often wakes in the middle of the night and can't figure out how to turn the light back on because the switch is flush with the bottom of the light and isn't easy to find in the dark. So she ends up crying for one of us to come do it for her, which isn't something I like to be woken up for at two or three in the morning.

Also the batteries die so often that on several occasions she's woken me to change the batteries. We use rechargables so it's not an issue of expense, it's an issue of sleep for everyone in the family (she used to sleep through the night every night until we got this light).

I could improve the star rating on the light if it charged on a base or something during the day (I think this company does actually have a version that plugs in) and if it was a lot easier for little hands to switch on in the dark.

It's a fun little night and travel light. Its glow is mesmerizing to my baby girl, unlike some of those blinding LED lights. It is also bright enough to be able to use it as sort of a flashlight to look for things in the dark. Well designed shape, as my baby loves chewing on it! Safe and sturdy plastic material that could withstand dropping on the floor and such. I like the timed glow setting, where you could put it on where it will turn off after 15mins. The design is sleek and the light sits in a very stable position (doesn't topple).

I love this product! It is very handy especially for those with young children. If purchasing again however, I would buy the rechargeable version rather than this cheaper version which isn't. Overall very satisfied. I plan to buy more rechargeable MOBIs soon!

This item does all that it claims. It casts the perfect, soft, uniform glow that doesn't bother my 'light' sleeper of a one year old when I check her at night. When the baby wants her pacifier I use it to locate the paci in the crib and she doesn't seem at all bothered by it. I also use it for the pesky early morning bottles when I am not prepared for the lamplight! The timer is great too- you don't have to 'remember' to turn it off it just dims out after 15 minutes. I can't believe how much I use it and what a help it has been, a perfect baby shower gift.

My kids love these! I got one of each color for my three kids. They are bright enough to read by, have a terrific timer for my 3 yr old, and my 6 year old can find the bathroom and the stairway in the dark.

My 2 year old son loves his "buddy". It is a great way to have a timed night light that does not get hot. I also had to buy one for my 10 year old son once he saw his brothers "cool" light.

My little one was afraid of the dark, but the night light would wake him up. This is a great invention, with the 15 min. timer he is asleep and sleeps through the night and into the morning without a light waking him up!

I bought 3 diffrent colors and they are wonderful my special needs 5 yr old just loves hers and plays with it at night it helps her sleep and my 2 yr old thinks the same. I use one for my 7 month old for late night changes and he loves to hold it at night they are perfect.

I went to turn on my son's TykeLight Jr. tonight when I put him to bed, and I found that the battery compartment door had broken, and the batteries were lying in his crib. He could easily have swallowed one of those batteries! NOT HAPPY with this product!

not disruptive to my husband who can keep sleeping through the night if I need to see how the baby's doing (we cosleep).
I love the fact that there is a 15-min. timer, then I don't have to turn it off and i save the batteries that way.
I am not fond of where the switch is and I'm always fumbling around to find it in the dark, but I don't know where else they could have located it.
I didn't see much of a difference b/w the normal setting & the low light setting, but not a matter of concern for me b/c I hardly use the low setting as there's no timer on it.
I might also be able to use this for the baby once she moves into her own room (whenever that happens).
