I finally understood how to make a laser!
This book helps to understand very clearly the basis of today's technology: thin films and lasers. This book opened this challenging area to my understanding. Science is about sharing knowhow: thank you for this great demonstration. Concerning another reviewers remark :If students are able to write such books, why do they study?

This book was written by her graduate students!
Her graduate students are not getting any of the proceeds from this book - PLEASE DO NOT BUY IT!

Finally a book describing clearly what our century is based on: lasers! If students can write such a book, why are they students?Thank you for sharing your knowhow with us!
