Book Description

January 25, 2010
Mojo happens the moment we do something that's purposeful, powerful, and positive, and the rest of the world recognizes it. '#MOJOtweet' by New York Times best-selling author Marshall Goldsmith reveals how we can create Mojo in our lives, maintain it, and recapture it when we need it.

In this book, you will explore the vital ingredients for building Mojo--identity, achievement, reputation, and acceptance--and realize the five qualities necessary to do an activity well--motivation, knowledge, ability, confidence, and authenticity. In 140 bite-sized insights (ahas), Goldsmith teaches readers how to discover and nurture these elements within ourselves and how to use them as building blocks for creating our own personal Mojo, the result of which is happiness, reward, meaning, learning, and gratitude.

One of the key insights in the book says, "The only person who can define meaning and happiness for you is YOU!" This book will make you think, this book will make you act, this book can help you cultivate better Mojo and become a better YOU. Goldmsith says that "our general tendency is to continue to do what we are already doing," but the paradox is that "this might not be sufficient for getting and keeping Mojo." So, do something different--something powerful, something purposeful, something positive--and get and keep '#MOJOtweet' today. Read more in his new book, 'MOJO: How to Get It, How to Keep It, How to Get It Back if You Lose It.'

'#MOJOtweet' is part of the THINKaha series whose 100-page books contain 140 well-thought-out quotes (tweets/ahas).

1.0 out of 5 stars Unreadable - literally, April 5, 2010

I wish I could review the content of this e-book, but it is unreadable on my Kindle. The background of the tweets is dark gray, the type can't be sized. It is basically useless.

When I contacted the publisher to let him know, he wrote back, "Funny, the simulated version doesn't look bad, I need to look at it on a Kindle (don't have one)" So much for satisfying the customer.

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Take note, publishers: before you put something on the market, show some respect for your customers and do some quality control.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its a summary or recap of the bigger book, March 30, 2011

This book is done in short, succinct sentences. Its twitter for mojo. The whole thing makes a lot more sense if you are reading the full mojo book. This book is worth buying for two reasons. One it gives you a complete summary of the bigger book. You can then connect with some of the tweets, and feel you'd like to buy the expanded version. The second reason is if you possess the bigger book it gives you a speedy recap.

I took mojo out the library. Everyone in the library collapsed:) After reading a couple of chapters I wanted to but a kindle version. That's when I found this mojo twitter.

Mojo is the energy you give to whatever you are doing now. Its not about asking who stole my mojo. It does help if you've seen the austin powers movie. That put mojo on the map in a humourous way.

The objective of the bigger book is to get you to find and hold onto the vital energy to get things done. The larger book is very cheap. If it helps fire up your drive its worth the couple of $$.

I think mojo in projects and business make or break things getting done well, or even done at all.

I found the book (large) very readable.

This book (twitter) is so useful as a lovely summary of the bigger version.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pointless Kindle Sample, December 21, 2010
By
Ian Cheung (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture Japan) - See all my reviews
Sounds like it could be a good book though some of the reviews seem written by writers so I thought I would check out the Kindle sample. It's the first chapter but it is totally devoid of any meaningful content. Judging by the pricing Kindle edition $2.99 vs a whopping $19.99, the author or publisher is hoping for more Kindle sales than paper sales. This raises a flag in my head.

If fellow Kindle users are thinking of buying this book, I would suggest waiting until the sample is fixed so that you can truly judge it instead of taking a punt. If aren't sure what I am talking about, download the free sample yourself.
