I wish I could review the content of this e-book, but it is unreadable on my Kindle. The background of the tweets is dark gray, the type can't be sized. It is basically useless.
When I contacted the publisher to let him know, he wrote back, "Funny, the simulated version doesn't look bad, I need to look at it on a Kindle (don't have one)" So much for satisfying the customer. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Take note, publishers: before you put something on the market, show some respect for your customers and do some quality control.

This book is done in short, succinct sentences. Its twitter for mojo. The whole thing makes a lot more sense if you are reading the full mojo book. This book is worth buying for two reasons. One it gives you a complete summary of the bigger book. You can then connect with some of the tweets, and feel you'd like to buy the expanded version. The second reason is if you possess the bigger book it gives you a speedy recap.
I took mojo out the library. Everyone in the library collapsed:) After reading a couple of chapters I wanted to but a kindle version. That's when I found this mojo twitter. Mojo is the energy you give to whatever you are doing now. Its not about asking who stole my mojo. It does help if you've seen the austin powers movie. That put mojo on the map in a humourous way. The objective of the bigger book is to get you to find and hold onto the vital energy to get things done. The larger book is very cheap. If it helps fire up your drive its worth the couple of $$. I think mojo in projects and business make or break things getting done well, or even done at all. I found the book (large) very readable. This book (twitter) is so useful as a lovely summary of the bigger version.

Pointless Kindle Sample,
By Ian Cheung (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture Japan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: #MOJOtweet: 140 Bite-Sized Ideas on How to Get and Keep Your Mojo (Thinkaha) (Kindle Edition)
Sounds like it could be a good book though some of the reviews seem written by writers so I thought I would check out the Kindle sample. It's the first chapter but it is totally devoid of any meaningful content. Judging by the pricing Kindle edition $2.99 vs a whopping $19.99, the author or publisher is hoping for more Kindle sales than paper sales. This raises a flag in my head.
If fellow Kindle users are thinking of buying this book, I would suggest waiting until the sample is fixed so that you can truly judge it instead of taking a punt. If aren't sure what I am talking about, download the free sample yourself.

As mentioned at the end of the product description here on Amazon, "MOJOtweet: 140 Bite-Sized Ideas on How to Get and Keep Your Mojo" is part of the "thinkAHA" series of books....short books bursting with easily-read ideas in one or two sentences, designed to uplift spirits, and boost productivity, creativity, and satisfaction -- both at work and in life.
(By the way, the English word "work" needs some updating. The word "work" can be used to describe menial labour at the lowest pay, and ALSO describe the "work" done by Wall Street wizards and Broadway stars. I suggest the word "wyork" be used to describe exhilarating self-fulfilling jobs, and "werk" used to describe jobs the "werker" hates. I believe that MOJOtweet, and similar books, teach one how to appreciate one's "wyork" jobs, and how to turn one's "werk" jobs inot "wyork" jobs. Or....something of this nature.....) This "thinkAHA" series, seems a perfect series of books for those in he Baby-Boomer generation, and the generations beyond it -- with the "MOJOtweet" book being a perfect introduction to series. I don't know if I speak for everyone in these gnerations here -- but for myself, I began to realize, about two years back, that years and years of watching TV, (With Commercials, every fifteen minutes or so, Gradually Greatly Diminishing My Ability To Concentrate....On Anything....Before I Realized What Was Happening!), has slowed down my reading comprehenion rate Enormously! (A government plot? In this instance, I think not....it's just the outgrowth of too many commercials / corporate greed.) At any rate, these happy little "tweet" books, with their "bite-size" pieces of wisdom, seem a great way to start reading, and concentrating on, great ideas and great thoughts, once more! And nothing -- outside of the "top tier" -- that of love of relatives, and the companionship of friends -- seems more important right now, than creating the "mojo" you want! After having "looked inside this book", I definitely am going to buy it. And read it it, hopefully all the way through, every single morning on arising....until it becomes part and parcel of my being, and, hopefully, of any future accomplishments I may achieve because of it! : )

I enjoyed reading #MojoTweet for two reasons--it was compact and it was full of great ideas, suggestions and helpful tips to give my life (personal and business) a boost in the right direction. And it is compact and easy to read so when I need another jolt of "mojo", I can pick up this book and get quick and effective reminders that I can put to use right away.

I liked this book a lot. The information is highly digestable and offered in bite size pieces that really allow you to grasp a concept and chew on it a bit before moving on.
Folks who are Twitter-savvy will appreciate the 140 character tweetiness of the entries. Non-Twitterers should be pleased by the overall concept and readability. Get your mojo happening with this one. |
