The whole "More Songs for Praise and Worship" series are the best . . . anyone purchasing one should get them all . . . tremendous resource for a church wanting good theology in music and good connection with multiple generations - very "acoustic" - not over-the-top contemporary. :-)

The "More Songs for Praise & Worship Series," including this book 4, is the best collection of songs for contemporary worship I've found. The selection of songs is exceptional and the arrangements really lend themselves to congregational singing while allowing for flexibility in the way the songs are sung. Two big problems with the format; they are not durable and the music is hard for those leading the service to follow. As to the durability, the pages and covers are not reinforced where it is spiral bound. Use the books regularly and the pages and covers WILL start tearing away from the spiral, no matter how careful you are with the books. As to the difficulty to use, the songs are arranged to save printing expense and thus they use several loops to different places in the songs. Even when leading very familiar songs and circling the notations as to where to repeat, it is possible to lose one's place. I say this as one who has read music almost all my life. Despite those setbacks I would recommend these books. They are the backbone of our worship music.
