I found this to be a big waste of money. I just spent about an hour trying to record the story that is about 5 pages long or so. It's a nice idea but the recording part is lousy. First, the audio is really bad. Doesn't even sound like me. Second part is what's really a mess. I'm supposed to turn to a page and hit the record button, hit the stop button when I'm done. Move to the next page, and so on.. I've just gone through the book several times and it never records the right audio for the right page. Many times when I hit the record button, it just says, "turn to the page you want to record and press the start button.." This is going in the garbage.. Complete waste of money. Now I have to go find an alternate christmas present for my grandson in a hurry..

bought 2 of these lasting memory recordable books. total junk, they should be ashamed of themselfs for even putting these things on the market. the 1st one, would not record at all, the batteries were fine because when you hit record, it would tell you to record and then press stop when finished, but it never recorded anything. the second one recorded when you spoke very, very loudly but the sensor that activated when light passed through the holes were off, so the 1st 3 pages worked, but after that it played the same recording for all the remaining pages. It is really irritating because my mother wanted to give to her grandchild. What a disappointment for her. I am a software analyst and evaluate a lot of products (hardware and software). They really should be assamed to even put this product on the market. If i could give it a zero, I would. I don't usually write reviews unless they are very good, that is how bad this product is.

I bought 16 of these thinking to give them as a gift... but no THEY DON'T WORK at all. I even changed batteries and still... One of them worked on one page but could not continue on for the remainder of the book. So disappointed.... Where can we go to tell the company these are very disappointing.

The book was falling apart the entire back that houses the recordable mechanics was falling out of the book. I assumed I could glue it back together but decided to see if I could record the book first but it was broken. So I had to throw it out. Rip off!

The book does not work. It would perform no function, even with new batteries. Whad hoped to give it to our youngest grandson.
