Mothers Contoured Tire Brush

This tire brush has very stiff bristles that do a great job of scrubbing the tire. The contour of the brush covers more area and helps get the job done quicker.

I usually like Mothers products, but to me this one's got a couple of fatal flaws:

1. It's too soft to really scrub a tire (except perhaps a fragile whitewall)
2. It's too big with bristles that are too short to effectively scrub a wheel.

I'm left thinking that this brush is stuck between being a tire brush and being a wheels brush. I ended up buying smaller brushes for my wheels and might still use this for tires, but it turns out it's a highly specialized tool that I'd recommend only for whitewalls and for someone who already has a wheel brush.

That said, the construction is good, the rubber surround prevents scratching during cleaning, and it's cheap.

I like this brush it is good quality and works great at cleaning my rims, I may buy another one for different purposes such as scrubbing floors ect ect.

When I was done scrubbing my four tires I was exhausted and my back hurted......which to me could have been avoided if the handle was longer. Still a nice product as compared to using a rag.

This is a great brush and it's very inexpensive, what more do you need to know?

Okay, so a few more details:
The brush has a nice curved shape to it which really conforms nicely to a normal size tire (low profile tires may not work as well). The bristles are plenty stiff for cleaning a tire, if they were any stiffer you would tear up the rubber. With a good cleaner (I use Meguiars APC+), this brush will work great to agitate the cleaner and remove grime and old layers of tire dressings. The handle is very ergonomic and allows you to apply a good amount of force into the scrubbing with minimal discomfort.

Overall a good brush and well worth the $7. It appears very sturdy and I am guessing this will last many years.

This inst really a piece of finally tuned machinery, it is a brush. It does what it was meant to and doesn't have any defects or flaws so far. I like Mothers car products and this one is no exception. I would recommend for tires and scrubbing the wheel wells. Not for the body!

Obviously due to the size of this brush, you need to be very careful using it on low profile tires or you'll scratch your wheels. It is too big for my 235/40/18 tires which really aren't that low profile anyway. Aside from that, the brush does its job well and I'm pleased with it.

I love this brush, it makes cleaning dirty tires soooo much easier.
Had to buy one for myself, then picked up another one for the father-in-law. Only drawback is its made overseas, oh well cant have it all.
