Excelent antenna but came without any instructions. I had no trouble installing it but think anyone with no knowledge of antennas might want a simple instalation guide.

I used this antenna for my custom install of a stereo in my popup camper. Works excellent. I had to swap out the bolt for a longer one so it can reach through the side of the roof on the camper. The antenna provides a water tight fit with the included rubber mount, and I just unscrew the rubber antenna part when I'm traveling with the camper. You can also tilt it down as it will rotate if you loosen it. I like that it's rubber and won't corrode, or look worn over time. Also, being flexible is nice. Haven't had any trouble with reception. I have it wired into a Pioneer car stereo inside the camper, and I get excellent results.

Works Well For What It Is,
This review is from: Boss MRANT12 Marine Dipole Hideaway Antenna (Black) (Electronics)
Reception seems to be good for an extremely short dipole (A full size dipole for FM is almost 5 ft long and one for AM is 135 ft long) You can't expect miracles out of a shortened dipole because you can't beat the laws of physics despite all the Marketing BS that abounds for consumer gear, especially antennas. There is always a trade-off involved and this one does a good job of balancing performance vs. size vs. cost.
And it you can't figure out how to install it without directions then you should probably be paying someone to do it for you ......

Total Junk for a Junk Company,

This has to be the absolutely worse antenna in modern electronic history! I was getting better reception with a piece of speaker wire attached to the radio than I was with the mast of this antenna. I mounted and remounted it six times trying for a better connection or location for it. That is, until the mounting hardware finally snapped. I contacted BOSS and they stated that I probably received a defective antenna however they offered no remedy to fix the situation. I've been in the Import/Export business for 30 years so I'm fairly confident that BOSS probably pays less than a buck for these things per unit straight off the ship from China. Yet they never offered to send me a replacement or antenna or satisfy my displeasure in any other way. Stay far away from this antenna and this company!!!!

I bought this for the boat. At first I wanted to mount the antenna to the top side of the fiberglass, but after a test (inside the garage), it didn't make any difference if the antenna was inside or outside, so I tossed it between the fiberglass walls on the side of the boat behind the stereo and a hidden antenna that works great!

Have it on wood fish house in the middle of the lake and I get some stations, not sure why not all. Other than that it was cheap and you get what you pay for.

This Boss Marine (Motorcycle) Rubber Radio Antenna works really BOSS on my 78 Honda Goldwing equipped with a Vetter III Faring with Vetter Cycle Sound.
It keeps the radio dry and accessible as need to change CD's or Radio Stations.

I bought one of these antennas to put on my boat. It didn't come with any type mounting instructions. Once I finally got it installed, the reception for my radio sucked. I ended up taking it off and throwing it in the trash. I went to a local Auto Parts store and got another antenna of the same type, installed it on my boat and had great reception. I would not recommend this antenna to anyone. It's a cheap made piece of Cr@p....

Bought this for use on a camper.Cheap so I can't complain about that but it is totally worthless.Didn't pick up a single channel. Ended up spending $ 40 on an antenna called the Tune Trapper, now I'm picking up channels a hundred miles away.
