We ordered SOPAKCO MRE's for emergencies. The variety and quality of the meals is excellent. It's a big change in the menu from the old brown pack MRE's . Packaging of the meals is military standard and all meals have a 5 year shelf-life. The heaters work very well with a small amount of water. It took less then 5 minutes to heat the main course. I definitely recommend this product for disaster preparedness, camping/hiking or to take along on outdoor activities.

Ordered these MRE's and arrived as promised, and smooth purchase. Only problem is that I opened one box and was all spaghetti and sloppy joes and assumed I would have more variety. Any way, will feed me when the SHTF.... Will reorder.

This case is supposed to contain 14 MREs' but it only contains 13. Nine of the 13 are Sloppy Joes! The add suggests there would be greater variety with 12 different menus; this is not worth $110!
Update: after contacting the seller, I have been promised a replacement case of MREs as soon as they run off a new batch this month (January, 2013). That's good customer service and helps to make this a better deal. Will update when received or NOT.

I live in earthquake country, so I try to keep a small kit just in case. I replace the water yearly, but food is harder to keep up on as it goes bad so quickly. This is the perfect solution. I would have given it 5 stars, but the selection that came was really limited. In a box of 14, there were only about 4 kinds of meals inside. If we should ever need them though, I don't think we'll mind so much. I hope to never need them.

I've used these civilian MRE's in past on boy scout campouts, atv trips, and throwing one or two in a car for those "just in case" situations. Some of the menu items are tastier than others, but all are edible. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for! Two cases would give enough food for a family of 4 for 72 hrs at two meals per person per day. Remember to add a gallon of water per person per day!

These MREs are awesome. What I like best is that you don't need any open flame to heat them up. The mixture of salt water and the ration heater when combined with the food envelope, gets the food toasty hot. And each different meal is delicious. Every few years I stock up (for emergencies) and then eat them on scout campouts as they approach their expiry date. great company too!
