Great toilet & saves water too!,
This review is from: TOTO MS604114CEFG-11 Ultramax II Het Double Cyclone One Piece Toilet with Sanagloss, Colonial White (Tools & Home Improvement)
We researched a ton of toilets before buying 3 of these Toto Ultramax IIs. We had definitely decided on one-piece vs. two-piece since they would be easier to clean and had decided against getting anything skirted. We also settled on Toto after scouring the Web reading reviews and going into stores to speak to dealers. We were concerned about the water volume per flush being only 1.28 gal vs. 1.6 gal, but have had no issues in the month that we've had them. They flush quickly and refill quickly. I think long-term the sanagloss will be totally worth it and these toilets will be around for quite a while.
Last thing to note - you should check with your local water district to see if they are offering any rebates or discounts on your bill for switching to these low-flow toilets. Ours was doing it earlier in the year, but ran out of money :-(, but we would have received $100 to $150 in savings.

This review is from: TOTO MS604114CEFG-11 Ultramax II Het Double Cyclone One Piece Toilet with Sanagloss, Colonial White (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased two of the Toto toilets, both with ADA height and an elongated shape. This toilet arrived first and it was intact. It is heavy since it is one piece. While we have installed toilets before, they were the classic toilets with round bowls and a much smaller footprint on the floor. This elongated toilet is one piece and occupies a much larger footprint on the bathroom floor. This leaves room for problems (which we have) with rocking - even if your old toilet is installed and is stable on the bathroom floor. We installed this using a wax seal and the kit came with screws that were a much smaller bore (more narrow) and longer than the screws from the old toilet. Now we need to cut these screws to make them short enough to fit under the plastic caps that are designed to cover the screws. When we sat down on the seat, we were disappointed to find that the toilet rocked slightly forward. We installed it on a travertine marble bathroom floor that was level when installing and did not cause our previous old toilet to rock or move at all. Yet the floor may not be absolutely level from back to front of the toilet base that occupies much more floor space than did our old toilet that it was replacing. A sad tale now as we will need to shore up the front base somehow so the toilet will not rock.
We have guarded our 1981 toilets like gold after hearing all the horror stories from friends with new installs who had so many problems with their low water post-1986 toilets clogging and overflowing repeatedly. But the glazing on our old "gold" toilets is now crazed enough that a pristine clean-looking toilet is impossible. We paid $50 more for this Toto than today's price even though when we purchased it less than two weeks ago it was advertised on Amazon's gold box front page deals at a discount, so we are not too happy about this. We are very pleased with the flushing capability of this toilet - it is rather amazing that so little water can take care of business. A mark was left behind one time but went away with an extra flush. We always close the toilet lid before flushing and I find that the soft close is too slow to close for my taste so I need to force it down or wait before I flush. Our old "gold" toilet had a plastic seat that also soft closed but was much faster. I love the higher height of this toilet's seat. I really can't appreciate a difference in the elongated shape versus a round shape as far as personal comfort is concerned. While this toilet is referred to as a double cyclone, it does not come equipped with two flushing options - one for #1 and another for #2. I think there are other Toto toilets that offer this feature but it is not offered for this particular toilet. Furthermore, the top of the toilet is very small so if you are used to storing a toilet paper holder or any items on the tank lid, you will no longer be able to do so. We need to find a cabinet to go on the wall above the toilet to hold the things that we had on the tank lid. I highly recommend this toilet however I suggest that before ordering the elongated shape, check the floor under your current toilet to ensure that it is absolutely level from the wall all the way out to where the front of the elongated toilet will extend. Furthermore, lifting the toilet onto the screws and wax seal is tricky and not for one person. We needed help due to its weight. I ordered a non wax seal for the 2nd toilet that some other reviewers recommended to see if there is a difference. Good luck with your install!

I purchased the Toto MS604114CEFG#11 One Piece Toilet, Colonial White with Sanagloss, Thursday January 27, 2011. I was very pleased with the UPS delivery, it came the following Thursday February 03, 2011. The UPS driver was very helpful, he help me bring the Toilet into the house, shipping weight was 151 lbs a little much for one person. Installation; I opened the shipping box, removed the toilet, installed the wax seal (not included) dropped it on the flange, attached the water line and Flushed!!! The install was easy. The toilet may be the best toilet I have ever used, the extra height, elongated bowl, Sanagloss, soft close seat and cyclone flush even with the 1.28 GPF are all top of the line, NO PROBLEMS. I will be purchasing the wall mount matching sink next. SanaGloss does make a difference, for the better. I bought the one piece toilet for a reason, I have a washer/dryer in the same room, the pryor toilet was two piece, over the years the spin cycle of the washer caused the bowl to crack where the tank and bowl bolt together, one piece Toto a BIG PLUS.
I know buying online can be a crap shoot, but I give the Toto One Piece Toilet two thumbs up! Thank you for your quality.
