We've waited several years to replace our Kohler Wellworth toilet with this Toto. As compared to the Kohler, it simply works well. No multiple flushes, no holding the handle down that uses 5 gallons of water instead of the rated 1.6 gallons. Installation was straighforward after calling Toto to clarify a discrepancy in the instructions on the size of hole for fastening to tile or concrete. The first Toto took about an hour and half the second installation less than an hour. The Sanagloss finish doesn't eliminate the use of a toilet brush but it reduces the need to do so.

One fault with the shipping from Amazon. For home delivery, the shipper, CEVA Logistics, will call to confirm that someone will receive the shipment before scheduling delivery. However, there was no provision in the ordering form on Amazon to enter a phone number. Fortunately, we called CEVA in anticipation of the delivery to schedule delivery.

Please check your supply line before ordering. My house was built in 2007 and the water line comes out of the wall which is not compatible with this toilet due to the "skirted" design. If your supply line comes from the wall and is not at least 6 inches from center then this toilet probably won't work with your existing plumbing. See picture. Otherwise quality of the toilet seems OK. I'm not too sure how well the velcro will hold up for holding on the lid and the mounting screw covers.

We replaced two older 3.5g/flush toilets in our home with Toto Carlyle toilets. The Toto toilets work very well. They have never clogged in the 4 years since we installed them, unlike the older toilets which these replaced. A second flush is sometimes required to completely clear the bowl, but not very often. The Sanagloss finish works very well to keep the bowl clean (you still have to use a brush, but not as often as before). The toilet is fairly quiet when flushing, and refills quickly. The soft close seat is a nice additional touch; it closes quietly with a flick of the wrist.

Note that this toilet is an older model that uses 1.6 gallons per flush. The newer model (Eco Carlyle II) uses even less water (1.3 gal/flush) and has a different flushing system ("Double Cyclone") than this one.
