As my hand me down old school plunger-style rubber bottle stopper is finally giving up the ghost, I decided to try these out and they work like a charm. I have recently upgraded my tonic water to Fever Tree, and these really help to preserve the fizz in the bottlecap glass bottles. But word to the wise, Bed, Bath & Beyond sells them for $1.99 apiece, as does True Value here. The $7.99 price tag here from RunSkipShop is outrageous.

[EDIT] The rubber bit does not expand enough to seal a beer-sized bottle without pulling the stopper upwards after you flip the handle down. I'm making my rating 4/5, and once they fix that, it'll be perfect.

When I looked for this stopper on Amazon I was amazed by it's low review rating here. (***** Update 9/14/13 - It appears the review rating has crept up substantially *****)

I've used these stoppers for a couple years and found they stop & hold well (all wine bottles I've tried, except maybe one), are easy to lever up and down and, altho entirely plastic, have been durable so far. These stoppers were better than the other "metal-lever" versions I'd tried, which tended to be less durable and/or harder to work.

I think this stopper is a very good product.

Reading the bad reviews, the real complaints here are the price and the related fact that some felt misled (somewhat understandably) over the number of stoppers they'll get for that rather high price. I've paid $2 for these stoppers in stores.

When a merchant's presentation of a product causes this much confusion, the merchant should correct the presentation.

Work well on wine, soda, and even beer bottles to keep some of that fizz in.
Good seal, Bottles can safely be stored on their sides in the fridge.
Simple to use. Never had one break, seem to be indestructible.

Works great. I use it to reseal my beer bottles and it keeps the beer fresh. These reviews suck when they require you to say more than you want to say about an item.

Saw problems with other stoppers. This type works well and is sturdy. No problems with these. Love the colors too.

It does not seem to have a tight grip at the bottle neck. When you place the stopper in the bottle and press the lever down it seems loose in the neck. Using it for a bottle of wine may cause air to get in the bottle.

I wish I would have purchased more as I didn't realize what a lush I was lol. I just wish they would of given you a choice as to color. I purchased 2 and they were both the green color.

I thought all 4 come in a pack but you only get one and you do not pick the color. Thank god I love green so I can't complain about that. I just wish I would've ordered a set instead.

I purchased this in hopes it would keep our leftover wine fresh. It doesn't fit in the bottle very well. It's very lose, and does not stay in. You can remove it from the bottle without releasing the lever.
